My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The service was terrible from the start—staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and when I asked to have them changed, they refused, which was shocking. The room itself had several issues. The TV didn’t work at all, and the AC was barely functioning, making the room uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the food was not pleasant and definitely didn’t meet expectations. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. The lack of basic hospitality and poorly maintained facilities made this a very frustrating experience.

Beach was beautiful! But people were allowed to leave their towels all day to save chairs. Hotel was clean and staff was seen mopping and wiping all day. The staff make this hotel what it is. Everyone was so attentive! And except for directly at the bar the service was fast. The reason this hotel is a 7.5 out of 10 for us was the food. Three of the five included restaurants were closed. No explanation just closed. The other two were booked solid until late night the last night. The buffet was always available but the options were the same lunch and dinner every day. There would be one or two items new but the majority was the same. Also if you like seafood, this hotel only does fish and calamari and sometimes shrimp. No crab, lobster, oysters etc. The staff and beach made this trip for us. Although tipping is optional everyone should tip the staff as much as they can because they work incredibly hard to make sure you’re having a good time!

To start, if you can, try to book and pay here online in advance. If you pay at the resort, they’ll “convert” your dollars just to charge you in dollars again — which makes no sense. Because of that, our room ended up much more expensive. My two-night reservation was supposed to be $320, but I ended up paying around $623.80 at the front desk only for 2 people. To continue, we were a family of 6 adults and 2 little girls, and honestly, the resort left us with mixed feelings. The negatives: The facilities were very basic, nothing impressive. The staff at the beach bar often seemed in a bad mood. The power went out the very first night we arrived. The air conditioning didn’t cool properly. All four rooms we booked had a strong musty, moldy smell. The food was average at best, with little variety or quality. The Mexican restaurant was a big disappointment — the food was terrible. The sports bar near the reception needs urgent attention; the rotten smell there is alarming. The positives: The staff at the El Pilón buffet restaurant were very kind and attentive. The pools were pleasant and clean. The beach was well maintained. The DJ and nightly shows were fantastic — fun, lively, and well organized. Overall, it’s not a resort I would recommend 100%. The maintenance and service issues outweighed the good moments, though I do appreciate the friendliness of the restaurant staff and the great entertainment at night.

From the start, my room wasn’t ready at check-in and there were no towels available. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, and despite multiple complaints, staff refused to send maintenance or address the issue, claiming the system was working normally.
