Peace River Shangri-La, located in a tranquil community -palm shores, east of Hunter Creek in Punta Gorda, offers a laidback Florida lifestyle. Parks and preserves provide access to unspoiled nature where you’ll appreciate a diverse array of vegetation and wildlife, enjoy peace, quiet, and the full view of the stars at night. You'll see boats passing by on the river. Meanwhile nearby downtown Punta Gorda offers a more metropolitan experience with Fisherman's village, beautiful cobblestone streets, chic boutiques, and fine dining.

2- bedroom and 2- bathroom house is set up to sleep 4 people in closed bedrooms, 2 people in Livingroom, on a comfortable queen size sleep sofa.

The master bedroom overlooks the canal with a sliding door to the lanai, has an extravagant king bed, walk-in closet, smart TV, desk, and a Bluetooth speaker side table. The master bathroom has his and her sinks.
The second bedroom also overlooks canal, has a queen bed with flower themed painting, and its own bathroom.
All the bedding sets and liens and towels are from luxury hotel lines, all the effort was made to make sure your superb sleeping experience.

Open floor planed living area. The living room has a beautiful canal view, tasteful furnished with a queen size Sofa Sleeper, allowing additional comfortable sleeping arrangement.

Peaceful location

The house is located in a very nice neighborhood. The home is well laid out with seating for everyone inside or outside on the screened in porch. We enjoyed watching tortoises and a wide variety of birds.Unfortunately the a/c didn’t work great while we were there and the overhead fans in the bedrooms needed some repairs as did the towel rack in the master suite. We have family in the area and know that times have been tough in this area due to hurricanes so we didn’t bother the owners with these issues. We did enjoy our stay and would stay here again.

Better for Short Term Stay

If we had stayed just a week, our rating would be higher. We stayed two months, and with a stay of that length, we felt it lacked many of the amenities that make a longer term stay enjoyable. We did enjoy the location, we loved hanging out on the lanai (though the furniture cushions need replacement if thorough cleaning is not possible), the beds were comfortable, the showers had great pressure (primary shower looks rough but functions well). These things are important and were appreciated. But the kitchen was poorly/cheaply stocked for people who need to cook. The advertised luxury linens might have been luxury at one time? No chest/dresser in guest room. We attempted to use the sofa bed once, and it dropped so much dirt on the floor that we just folded it back in and our guest slept on the couch. After a week, we grew tired of all the random garage sale decor sitting around everywhere and moved much of it to the garage. For a one week touristy type of stay, it would be just fine. Would not recommend as a seasonal rental.

Nice, clean house on a canal

The house was very clean, located in a quiet neighborhood. We particularly enjoyed the covered lanai overlooking the canal. It was breezy and very relaxing. Beds were comfortable, linens were clean. There wasn’t any issue with the house except that the icemaker and water dispenser of the fridge didn’t work, which didn’t bother us. Overall, we had a good stay at the house. It had all the basics, although not supplied abundantly as some of the other vacation homes we stayed before. The host was very friendly and responsive. The local house keeper was very nice too. She did a great job cleaning the house (one of the cleanest of all the vacation homes we have stayed) and apologized for not supplying shampoo or soap in the master bathroom before our arrival when she stopped by to deliver them the next day.

The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood! Unfortunately, the dryer wasn't working when we there, but no issues with anything else. Clean, tidy, perfect otherwise!

Poorly stocked

House was fine, however it was lacking in essential. Very few kitchen supplies. No vacuum cleaner, no dust pan. The floors in the screened in porch were filthy. Listing indicated bicycles for the guests but the tires were flat and no air pump. No garage space to get our car out of the hot sun. Garage was filled with junk.

Punta Gorda Gem

Upon arrival, I was afraid that the property was too far away from the ocean beach town vibe but grew to appreciate that fact! Close enough to participate in the hustle bustle if you wish but then a quiet spot to return to. Great restaurants nearby. The house was meticulous.

Peaceful but Accessible

The house was nicely prepared and well kept. The area was quiet and the lanai made evenings enjoyable with the canal out back. Juliet, the host, had all aspects thought out. Everything from towels and toilet paper to shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms. There's even a sharks head with K cups beside the Keurig! Definitely recommend this property for a comfortable stay!
