Needs improvement and satefy updates
Our recent stay at this property was unfortunately disappointing, with several significant issues impacting our experience. While the property initially appeared promising, we quickly discovered it was not properly cleaned or maintained. The back garden contained dog mess and a bin bag of rubbish. We also found sweet wrappers under a bed, and several of the supplied duvet covers were ripped. The BBQ was also extremely dirty and ill-maintained. In the main family bathroom, there were drainage issues with the bath, making showering hazardous as the surface became very slippery. We purchased bleach to try to alleviate this issue, but to no avail. The Dyson left to vacuum the downstairs area was full and blocked, which we had to clean out and clean the filters to make it usable. The kitchen was dirty, the coffee machine was covered in grime, the toaster was crammed with crumbs, and the sugar jar was untouchable. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with only 8 forks and 5 teaspoons available, leading us to purchase additional cutlery ourselves. Furthermore, essential items like hand soap were missing, and there was no welcome pack, local information, or appliance instructions. When we brought these issues to the owner's attention during our stay, we received only a brief response, without even an acknowledgement or thank you for purchasing the necessary cutlery, which felt quite impolite.Most concerning was a faulty safety latch on the boiling hot water tap in the kitchen.
