Overall the rooms were well appointed, very clean, and up to date. No major issues at all. The hotel being outside of the cbd was a double edged sword - no easy walk to restaurants, but also much calmer and relaxed. It may have been onboarding/training during low season, but there were occasional staff struggles with routine requests. Dramatic mix between very good staff, very new staff, and staff that were posturing.

Had a beautiful stay at Kāmana - the service of the front desk staff is always second to non, and we had a lovely note in our room welcoming us upon our return. The only thing I would say is that the construction that is happening in front of the hotel should be factored in pricing, our view was over the construction and our soak would have had frosted glass as the baths are looking directly at the construction. Understand this is not something that can be helped but it should reflect in the prices being charged.

We had an exceptional stay at the Kamana Lakehouse for three nights. The facilities were great, very clean and the comfiest bed I’ve slept in in a hotel in years! Loved the visit from the local cat too - he’s very sweet.

Nice location if you have a car. Dinner at the Nest restaurant was amazing, breakfast was average with one member of staff rather abrupt in her manner. Housekeeping was left in the corridor with lots of bags which is not a good look. Overall a lovely stay with the use of the hot spa and a friendly cat visitor.

The property was excellent and the views were beautiful especially when having breakfast in the morning. The breakfast staff were great and very hospitable. The reception staff were very nice too but some staff may need some extra training in some of their core roles. Other than that, a very beautiful place to stay at.

Expected more from this stay. Restaurant serves great food the room is big but there is a construction work ongoing on site. There is no info about that anywhere. The soak experience needs to be booked in advance ideally for each day of the stay (hotel only recommends one booking as the rest can be sorted while there). Otherwise you need to rely on other guests cancellations. There are no outside seatings with the view on the lake.
