How close is Explore Old North Durham to downtown Durham?
We stayed at the wonderful VRBO for 6 nights. The host was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. The place was clean and comfortable! The property is located in a very charming, older neighborhood and very close to downtown Durham. There are sidewalks all around that make it easy to stroll into town for a cup of coffee or for some lunch. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C works very well! There is a comfortable outside table with an umbrella where you can sit and have your morning coffee and watch the friendly neighbors walk by with their dogs. There is a small, unique, historic church across the street that gave the area a comforting vibe. You have the option of parking in the lot behind the property or on the street. Be aware that there are two steps that lead into the main level apartments from the street level that do not have handrails. For those with mobility issues, be aware that you may need to climb stairs from the parking lot or to your unit depending on which unit you reserve. You can ask the host and let him know of your mobility issues or needs. He was very helpful in finding the best unit for us as my daughter has mobility issues. Thank you again to the host for being so accommodating and understanding during our stay!
