Beautiful Luxury Cottage in South Iceland in a perfect locations, new renovation

The cottage is amazing and one of the most impressive host facility in the country side in Iceland. It is in a beautiful spot and very well situated cottage with graet view, located near many interesting sites for example mount Hekla, Eyjafjallajökull which you can see out of the window in the house. Vatnajökull glacier, Þórsmörk, Gullfoss, Geysir and Vestman Island.

We closed the house in 2024 as we decided to renovate everything, electricity, kitchen, bathroom etc.

Approx. one hour drive from Reykjavik

House is very close to Hella 5 minutes away after you drive through Hella.
The country house is 150 m2 with an outside hot tub for 8 to people.

The cottage can accommodate 12 persons. 2 master bedrooms 1 queen size bed and 3 bedrooms with two single beds.

The kitchen includes all required equipment, refrigerator, kitchen stove with oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee machines, mixer and toaster. Kitchenware is for total over 20 persons.

There are 2 bathrooms, with shower.

In 2024 we decided to do completely renovation the entire house. New bathrooms, new kitchen. We renewed all the electricity. New floors and walls in hole house. We are very happy with the result, and it was worth it.

• The cottage is located in the so called Golden circle area.

• An 18 hole golf course is just 5 minutes drive away.

• Many fishing rivers are nearby.

• The cottage and the surrounding area is very family friendly.

• The cottage is approx. one hours drive from Reykjavik.
The cottage is ideal for both summer and winter vacation. Summer time for 24 hour daylight and winter time for Northern Lights.
The atmosphere is very peaceful and you are in touch with nature and the surrounding landscape. From the living room you can see Mount Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull.

It is very relaxing to come our house after a long strong day and and relax go in to the hot tub and in the winter time if you are lucky you can see the Northern Lights dancing over the house and in the summer enjoy the brightness and nature.
In the winter it is nothing that beats lying in the hot tub watching the stars and if you are lucky you can see the Northern Lights.

This is a perfect house for a large family or friends to stay in.

Family trip

The house is perfect for a family stay. The view is spectacular. We were able to see the Northern Lights from the back porch four nights! Very convenient to the Golden circle for day trips to waterfalls,black sand beach,glaciers and so much more. Perfect place to enjoy beautiful Iceland. Thank you Soffia

Girls weekend!

Perfect house for our group of 10. Plenty of space to hang out in the evenings after a full days adventure! Stocked with everything you can think of, including a fantastic view. Great location for exploring the south coast! Be careful of the hot tub, it can get way too hot. Also note the driveway down to the house is a steep gravel path, we were fine with our jeeps, but we witnessed a car get stuck after taking a wrong turn into the driveway. Finding the trash drop off for checkout was a bit confusing, gps coordinates would have been helpful!

Unique Retreat

Awesome stay and beautiful setting!

My family and I spent a week at the house and thoroughly enjoyed the area. Soffia was extremely helpful and was a great resource for things to do and would respond to questions immediately. The kitchen is well stocked and the wi-fi was excellent. Wonderful views of Hekla and the birds were amazing as well. Highly recommend this stay.

Summer in Iceland

Well-appointed for a quiet country stay in Iceland but excellent location to visit most of southern Iceland; Vik, Keflavik, Reykjavik and Golden Circle are easily accessible on day trips. About 5 minutes from Hella which has a grocery store, a couple of good restaurants and a gas station. 15 minutes to Hvolsvollur with more restaurants and larger grocer. Home was clean, beds were comfortable, everything was in working order. Black-out shades in the bedroom were awesome and necessary in July. We enjoyed morning Nesspresso on the large deck with majestic views and very entertaining birds. We really enjoyed our trip and our stay here was perfect for our family adventure.

Absolutely stunning location, incredibly well-appointed home, gorgeous and comfortable

This home was above and beyond in every way for our family. From the start, Soffia was amazing about communicating, answering questions and offering advice & insight. The house is so comfortable, beautifully decorated, and the view is amazing. It also has the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever had in a VRBO. We absolutely loved staying there and wished we had more vacation time to spend.

Incredible way to conclude our journey around Iceland!

Amazing property, gorgeous house, very special secluded location, very private. We loved the way the house was furnished and well-stocked with just about everything imaginable. After journeying around Iceland, the only thing missing was a view of the Northern Lights and this property DELIVERED! Around midnight the night before our flight home, we all experienced the Aurora in full glory. Soffia is the consummate host, thorough and helpful throughout the process. Amazing Property surrounded by beauty

I cannot say enough about how perfect our stay was. Soffia was spot on to handle any question or need immediately. The location is perfect to see a large portion of the surrounding area being right off route 1 with very short drives. The house itself is well kept, modern and clean with amazing views. The beds are extremely comfortable. We had a party of 10 and every was please with their sleeping arrangement. The house is very well appointed with everything you could possible need including very reliable WiFi. We were in Iceland for the front side of our Sons wedding and being able to have our family stay together in such a nice property made our time in Iceland go very smoothly. 5 stars all the way!

A great place for a reunion

We booked to host a reunion of life long friends. This was a great property for exploring Iceland, and the house is very comfortable for a large party. We enjoyed cooking and eating together in the kitchen dining room and relaxing in the hot tub.

Stunning views

I can't sing the praises enough when it comes to our time at this incredible home. Starting with the location, it was the perfect jumping off point to tour the Golden Circle and the South Coast. Lots of eating and shopping opportunities with its adjacency to Hella, Selfoss, and Hvolsvollur. The house is hidden behind a hill to provide a completely secluded experience along with beyond stunning views of the countryside. The neighboring horses provided fantastic visitors for us -- several let us love on them. The house itself had everything we could need including a well stocked kitchen that allowed for several meals at the house. Just being in this gorgeous house was a treat in itself and you won't regret your stay here.
