This cabin is located at historical Niboban. The original Niboban Camp was built sometime prior to 1915 and was at one time used as a farm. In the 1920's, it was once a girls camp. In the early 2000s, the original buildings at Niboban were torn down and new cabins and a lodge were built. Guests have access to the main lodge which offers ping pong, games, books, and puzzles.
There is a shared swimming cove and a swim float, with one of the few sandy beaches on Rangeley Lake. Docks on the property can accommodate boats up to 20 fee (not for overnight). Rangeley Village and downtown Oquossoc are just 7 miles away in opposite directions. Niboban has a connector trail to ITS84, so guests may enjoy snowmobiling directly from their cabins - to nearly 150 miles of groomed trails, with connections to New Hampshire and Canada. Cross Country Skiing and mountain bike trails are available nearby at the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center. There are public tennis courts in both downtown Rangeley and downtown Oquossoc. Downhill skiing is available at Saddleback Mountain.
Discounted Saddleback Lift Tickets: Proud to offer discounted lift tickets. After booking, you will receive more information.
The cabin was meticulous and cozy, with a fabulous screened in porch. Due to the wind, we cooked inside and found everything we needed to make good meals after a day of bike riding and canoeing. Compared to our southern Maine town, Rangeley was quiet even on a Holiday weekend and this wonderful cabin sans TV and Internet was just what we needed to get away from it all! The wind ceased on our last day, so we were able to use the fabulous fire pit and listen to the loons after sunset. We will be back!
Great place, very simple and quiet. Beautiful sunset, easy to get a canoe in the water and enjoy nice ride. The cabin, very simple has every thing you need. No need more (except maybe the internet but no big deal there). The fire pit is great, the sunset beautiful the cabin very cozy. We do recommend highly the cabin and the area.
