Loved sitting on the deck or dock with my coffee in the morning and enjoying the view of the lake. Small cabin with great view and good location for everything we wanted yo do. It was just 2 of us so it was fine but if there were more people even if they were kids it would have felt very cramped.
Cute little cabin with a beautiful view of Lake Rangeley.
Because of the time of year (Fall) we didnât use the amenities of the lake or the little community firepit.
We did enjoy our few days stay, the few neighbors were very nice. There is a grocery store, gas station close by. Amazing for a smaller cabin how well stocked it is with useful items.
Our only complaint would be that the bed could use bigger warmer blankets.
Itâs a beautiful area.
I was here with my husband and best friend. We used the cabin as a home base for exploring the area, and used the dock as a space to unwind at sunset. The cabin is clean and well provisioned with basics. Be aware that the cabin is very cozy and any more than three adults would probably be too many.
Clean and cozy cabin. Nice views from the deck. Awesome waterfront with nice sunsets. Nicely updated and decorated. Described as quiet and serene. I suppose that description would depend on your definition of quiet. The cabin is near a roadway so at certain times of the day you will hear traffic passing by.
Other times, yes, quiet.
Near town so convenient to all of what that offers.
We would return.
We rented this quaint cabin for our annual family 4th of July getaway. The cabin is one of six in a group association. They have so many amenities available. There were several docks, 2 fire pits, lots of lounge chairs, umbrellas, as well as kayaks, a canoe and a SUP. There is a also a spot to moor your own boat if you bring it along, and a free public launch is just 10 minutes away. All of the other cabin owners or renters we met were friendly and it was a very nice community.
Cabin one may be small, but everything we needed was there and it was cozy. Our family of 4 (children are 11 and 13) for perfectly in the cabin, even with several rainy days inside. There is WiFi, but no television (which we loved). The kitchen is FULLY stocked with anything you could need. There is a stove/oven and a grill, a toaster, microwave, a lobster pot, and anything a coffee lover may need. The bedrooms were comfy and lots of windows and fans to keep comfortable. The bathroom had lots of shelf and hanging space. There were even binoculars, board games and puzzles accessible. There is a private deck off the cabin with Adirondack
chairs, the perfect spot for your morning coffee.
Rangeley Lake has amazing mountain views and the most beautiful sunsets! We saw many ducks and bald eagles. We also caught a few salmon! And there is nothing quite like sitting by the fire and listening to the loons call.
If you want to adventure away from the relaxation and serenity of the cabin, there is a lot to do! We enjoyed a hike at Angel Falls, drove the scenic bypass, stopped at the Outdoor Heritage Museum, bowled a few games at Moose Alley, shopped around Rangeley center and enjoyed eating at several restaurants. We also drove out to see some moose and caught a glimpse of a beautiful one crossing in front of us.
I would highly recommend Terraces Cabin 1 for your familyâs next getaway.
Really great location, steps away from lake, good amenities in a comfy small cabin, everything you wanted, from kitchen to a high pressure warm shower to board games, awesome barbeque grill, access to dock & can sit to watch a sun go down with a bottle of wine. Didn't get chance to use the Kayaks that are available. Choose the right cabin, reaching is unique in its own way. Everything close by, drive upto Height if Land, not a well known spot but incredible sunsets. Our 6-yr old fell in love with house & had to promise bringing him back next summer :)
The property was lovely. My only negative comment is that we were deceived in thinking that it was a private cottage and instead, it was one of several cottages with common area's (ie file pit, dock, paddle boat). Lucky for us, neighbors were a no show. Also, you may want to know that there are several steps (over 50) just to get to the dock. If you have issues walking, this may be a problem.
The property is small. Two very small bedrooms. Queen size bed with barely enough room to get around. Tiny bureau, no closet space. Smaller bedroom has a full size bed with a little larger bureau. Kitchen as all the supplies you'll need. One small sink. NO dishwasher. Grill outside is a very nice. Deck overlooks the lake. Getting down to the lake is many stairs. Close to town of Rangeley. Some restaurants really not up to full opening. I think they are having a hard time finding employees. Area hikes are awesome.
The cottage was clean and adorable. I think it would be best for 3 adults at the most or 2 adults with 2 children. An extra kitchen chair would be helpful for a 4th person. The living area was very small. We were fortunate to have great weather and therefore spent very little time in the cottage, but if we had experienced rain, it would have been tight quarters for 3 adults (we initially had a 4th person planning to be with us who could not join us, that would have been even tighter quarters for the 4th adult) The photos made the cottage seem larger than it actually was.
