Check in was a breeze. We loved the cute cabin. Different from a regular ol’ motel room. Fun. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the floor looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. A easily forgotten step. We could hear the traffic on Main Street a little but once we were asleep we slept right through it. We did like the idea of not hearing the neighbors tv through the wall like in a motel. We also didn’t have to worry about my grand daughter if she cried in the night. The price was just right and my parents got to stay right next door.

My cabin smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Air filters for the AC couldn’t have been cleaned for years.Took only a few minutes and little effort to clean the filters in the shower. Bed was comfortable. Could be a neat place with a little TLC.

Beds were not comfortable. Bedding was old. Shower was dirty. Only a 1/2 a roll of toilet paper but they brought more when we asked. Room was dark. Outside stairs were steep and old. No information in the room on how to contact front desk/staff. No info on website. Phone number to call just disconnected. No place to eat in town on a Monday evening.

The steps leading up to the room were very steep. My husband said the ones leading down on the inside were very steep also. The room was nice. The gal that checked us in was very nice, friendly and accommodating.

Cabin was clean. We arrived late and I did not interact with staff. Key was waiting for me for the late checkin. Cabin was simple and clean. We were in town for a wedding, so did not spend much time in the cabin.

Moosehead Lodge is the cutest western place to stay! It is not a chain, has the personal family touch, attention to detail, good price, great restaurant across the street and hometown charm. Will return!

The only complaint was that the freshener in the cabin was very over powering. I am one of those that has sensitivity to some scents. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay, cute cabins.

Book a cabin not the lodge

The add is very misleading as it appears rooms are all cabins. This is not the case. We were given a room in the lodge (which is a fancy term in this case for dorm). The room was very small and the bed way too soft/overused. As we were only staying for one night this all would have been ok but the building is so loud. There is a communal shared kitchen in the front so you hear people walking around all the time, if someone coughs the whole building hears, and the room doors are swollen/not hung right so they have to the forcefully pulled shut…this is loud and we had to listen to off and on until 11pm Outside of the lodge, the grounds seemed nice. The Jacuzzi set up is cute and there’s a pizza restaurant right across the street. If we’d stayed in a cabin, I probably would’ve given this a great review but staying in the lodge was not enjoyable and it was not made clear that this was the situation when I made the booking. There are a few lovely cats so that was the highlight….
