Tanias Island Getaway 2

Both homes have covered verandas and out door seating, thru the ranch sliders the homes open up to spacious dining and living areas, with full modern kitchens at the back. To the sides are the two bedrooms and bathroom.

Set on a massive enclosed section and on a very quiet road, Tanias offers a big yard for the kids to play in and ample covered veranda space for the grown ups to watch them (whilst sipping on a G and T).

100 metres away is the islands top coffee house and roaster (Neil Dearlove), and also Rarotongas best baker (Reuben Dearlove his son)... mental note fresh baked croissants and bread every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (be there early).

The immediate coastline where Tanias is situated is rugged, and although not ideal for swimming (its corally) is perfect for up close rock pooling and reef fishing.

Tanias is less than a five minute drive to Muri Lagoon, and all things Muri (beaches, resturants and hotel bars) and five minutes to the main township of Avarua (when there arn't road works).

For one or two families looking for a high value/comfort level, Tanias will "check the box".

Location

Well built and well equipped units in a good location close to a shop and petrol station. Only drawback is the closest decent swimming area is about 5km away so having a car is a good idea. A small bakery that is within easy walking distance has the best croissants on the island.

Excellent location, surrounded by trees and palms that provide plenty of shade. The property is spacious, both in its grounds and accommodation. We stayed as a couple on a business trip in the two-bedroom unit and found it perfect—there was more than enough space, though we comfortably used just one room to work, cook, and relax, both indoors and out.We especially enjoyed the parade of beautiful cats that quietly made their way along the edges of the property—there’s a cat sanctuary bordering the back. We also had a friendly little red pig visit us twice, which added a lovely, unexpected touch.The location is very convenient, close to excellent dining options and supplies, with a convenience store just a three-minute walk away on the main road.The apartment was clean and comfortable, and we would highly recommend it—for couples, two couples, or even larger groups, as there are two apartments side by side.

Very peaceful

Excellent property close to great convenience store and burger bar. Walking distance. Tania's is a nice spacious unit with all amenities needed for a great stay. You can park right at the door. Fantastic shower. Property is off the main road and down a right of way so very little road noise. Next to Paws and Claws so no dogs barking all night

Excellent accomodation very spacious. Air con would have been a bonus but several fans provided. A couple of problems at No.1 as gas oven didn’t work bit Eddie kindly provided his own barbecue for me and also a brand new microwave oven. Excellent communication

Communication was good with the hosts, replied within 24hrs. Keys easy to find with a lock box.Location just down the road from a well stocked petrol/shop and villis takeaway, best cheeseburgers!The property does have a lot of animal visitors, chickens, dogs, piggs and cats. Easy to find property and very close to Muri beach.Doesnt come with aircon, but did have a couple of fams. Has al the amenities of a house. Overall a good stay for the price, we would stay here again.The chickens, cats dogs amd pigs

Great little hideaway.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Quiet and private it is still only a 5 minute drive or 20 minute stroll down the inner road to Muri Beach. This is an exceptionally well equipped house that comes with brand new appliances and furniture, so does not have the headaches of some. It has large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, everything you need and more in the highly functional kitchen, a clean fresh bathroom with washing machine and both solar and electric hot water. We stayed here for a month and found the place wanting in nothing. The photos do not do this gem justice. We will be booking Tania’s cottages next time we are in Raro. Thanks for everything Eddie.
