Rent “Blind Jakes” a gem of a property and be inspired by the history and landscape that the legendary western artist Charlie Russell felt years ago. Located in the heart of the Little Belt Mountains (Lewis and Clark National Forest) across from Russell point, out the front gate, you will access hundreds of miles of maintained ATV, snowmobile and 4x4 trails. If fishing or hunting is on your agenda you’re in luck (hunting district 448). A stroll out the front door is the S. Fork of the Judith River where brook trout swim. Snowshoeing, fire pit, elk viewing, bird watching, swimming hole... it’s all here. This quaint 800 sq ft 1 bed, 1 bath cabin (sleeps 3) is well suited for any Montana adventurer(s).

Remote, charming , homey and memorable with incredible scenery and abundant wildlife. If hiking, inquire about the trail to “Window Rock” for a quick uphill hike to a pass through cave w stunning views of our valley. This is truly an epic area for outdoor adventurers or anyone who wants to relax in a very comfortable, well appointed, true Montanan cabin with lots of good feels. This property is security surveilled at the front and rear entrances.🙂

Tucked Away Cabin With Everything You Need!
Our stay for an "ATV/get out of dodge week" in MT wilderness was perfect! This cozy cabin had SO many extras - maps, binoculars to glass the area, spices, toiletries, games, lawn chairs, cornhole, WIFI (yes, in the middle of the National Forest!). If you love the Belt Mountains but are too old to truly "rough" it, this is a no-brainer rental. Kim was easy to communicate with and has obviously put thought into what people need/want.

Loved this place!!!
We stayed here for three weeks and absolutely loved it. Connected with some locals for SXS rides (referred by host) and enjoyed sunrises and sunsets from the porch in an absolutely stunning location. Cabin is nicely appointed and stocked with a million little things you might forget. This is super handy because it takes a while to get anywhere - the location is remote. Get groceries and gas before you arrive! Cell phones didn't work but cabin had Wifi and that was super helpful. Would definately recommend to others who are looking for a chill, comfortable out-of-the-way spot where you can explore trails and/or leave the busyness behind.

Clean, cozy cabin in the woods
Great little cabin in the woods. Very well stocked with all amenities we could ask for. Very comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, DVD movies, great shower, plenty of outdoor games to play! It made a great base camp for hiking and fishing in the area.

Montana Hunting Trip
We couldnt of asked for a better set-up. The weather was great just not cold enough or lack of snow for the elk to cooperate. We will be back hopefully if successful with draw. The cabin has everything you could ask for. Life is a little better getting up from a warm bed than a cot in a tent. The host was spot on with all amentities. Thank you very much

Wonderful getaway/unplug!!
The cabin has all the necessary amenities but none of the outside distractions. There were several little touches that were special (like a bag of ice in the freezer, a wonderful assortment of spices, and comfortable outdoor chairs.) Everything felt like a home. It seemed that they cared about who stayed there with the instructions to "use what you need".

Beautiful Mountain Setting
Fantastic property! My husband and I stayed at the cabin with our dog for 9 days. It’s fenced in Montana-style, with wood posts and some barbed wire to make up for the big gaps but our pup understood (for the most part!) that it was a boundary. The front porch had views for days and it was so relaxing to sit there and watch nature, day or night. The inside is remodeled with updated appliances, solid surface countertops, durable floors, comfy bed… the pics, while accurate, don’t do it justice. There seems to be two RV hookups on side of the house (we didn’t have an RV so didn’t test them out) and ample space for RVs, tents, trailers, ORVs… an outdoor enthusiasts paradise! You can see a few cabins, and a small one has been built on the property adjacent to the cabin, but there was never anyone at them. There is a small community in the area but they are all super friendly and quiet. We hauled our Polaris General to the cabin and while there were a ton of trails for us to explore, we could have gone on many more with four wheelers or a trail width side by side. But the ones we could access were so much fun and had amazing views! If you like hiking, make sure to check out Daisy Narrows on the south end of the Little Belts about half an hour out of Harlowton! Worth the drive!
