At that price continental breakfast should had been included stayed at Hampton inn/Hilton property last week just as clean and for a great breakfast for less money

Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the property! However, the hotel was full of very loud children and teenagers - and furthermore, we were placed in a room directly next to the elevators on the 7th floor. Why would the hotel not place us, a couple traveling by themselves, AWAY from the noisy and loud groups..perhaps in a corner of a floor away furthest away?? The hallways were VERY loud due to the school and college groups, and noisy conversations at the elevator *right outside our door* made the situation worse. Further, there was no information in the room... i.e., when and where is breakfast, channel guide, WiFi access & password..there wasn't even a pad and pen in the room! The front desk kindly sent me a text message with the above information, but that info should be available in every room without a special request and checking my phone in the middle of the night. Last, the continental breakfast was not at all worth the $10 per person that the hotel charges. We've had much better continental breakfast for free at a chain hotel.

We arrived and the room while clean didn't have heat or hot water, called the desk and asked to switch rooms. They sent a maintenance man who was very courteous and professional. He provided us with an electric heater and actually got the hot water working after awhile. The room should have been ready for winter business and wasn't. Parking cost me another $25.00 and that bill appears as a $75.00 charge on my credit card. Not recommending The Berkeley anytime soon.

The hotel does stay full throughout the summer months, so every winter we go into every room for a full maintenance over haul to freshen up the vents, filters, painting, caulking, carpet extraction just to name a few items. We are sorry that you experienced this and did not receive your room type, we do always try to accommodate everyone's room request.

My husband and I were married at the Berkeley 5 years ago and come back every November to celebrate. I think this is the last year we will be back though. It was a Thursday night, there were only a handful (if that) of rooms full yet they would not do a complimentary upgrade to ocean view like they have every previous year for our anniversary. They told us $40 more for the view. The bed was so worn out it dipped horribly in the middle, terrible wifi (which they usually charge for) and zero hot water for showers. The hotel charges for their lot but thats nothing really new. Not worth the $$$$ for a city view, mid-week in November.

Beach hotel needs better staff

The hotel gave us a room that was for the handicap. The sink was super low to the ground. There was no space to put anything not even for the toothbrush or toothpaste. No hooks for clothes and only a small rack for towels. The hallways are dark and not air conditioned. Very musky. Our reservations came with free breakfast. The restaurant initially said they were not part of the hotel and therefore was not responsible. I went back and forth two times between the front desk and restaurant before two managers agree to honor the breakfast. They charge people different prices. It is normally 12 but they were charging 18 because of the holiday. Another couple asked why they were charged 15 the day before even though it was not a holiday. There were no signs or menus concerning pricing. Seem like they were ripping people off.

Staff was welcoming and friendly. Great location, was able to easily walk to the Stone Pony for a show. Room was clean, would definitely stay here again.

Convenient to Paramount and Convention Hall

Pros: Convenience and cleanliness
Cons: This hotel has a large catering / special events capacity so it would only make sense to have food available for guests.
Location: Directly across the street from Convention Hall and the boardwalk
Saturday, 1-14-17. Attentive parking staff and friendly front counter staff. The hotel is bright and clean. The room was modern looking, comfortable and clean but the TV was dated and had very limited channel selections. The bar area is dark and uninviting. The bar tender was unfriendly and too focused on her work instead of customers. This hotel has no food. Overall however, it is a very nice hotel.

Rush to Checkout

My stay was nice. When I checked in the employee told me check out time was 11am. At 9am I heard clapping outside my door. I said hello? The worker replied when are you gonna be checking out? I said in about a half hour or so. Not even 5 mins later I hear more clapping. When are you going to be checking out? I felt rushed to leave. I just wanted a peaceful place to sleep and get ready for the drive back in the morning. Aside from that it was nice. What if I wanted to get more rest that morning?
