Have always stayed here when we are in town. I came by myself this trip. The ladies that run the motel went above and beyond. From helping me find the perfect bed, offering an extra blanket - even treating me like family. They are warm, professional and will take great care of you. Ended up staying another night! I can’t wait to come back!

Older but Nice

We have stayed at Winchester Bay Inn for decades. It is an older motor lodge (park at your room!), but has been renovated over the years. Across the street from the bay, walking distance to restaurants and tourist shops. A plus; pet free rooms are available for those with allergies. Also a plus; no carpets to harbor those hitchhiking bugs and dirt. Coffee makers, microwaves, and refrigerators in the rooms. I would give them five stars but the internet is, and has always been, terrible. Maximum 65 mbps, but typically 32 mbps frequently dropping out altogether so, not good for working vacations. I see some people whine about the "breakfast". It is spartan and only available seasonally, so bring your own and go enjoy Salmon Harbor. You get what you pay for.

I was pleasantly surprised with this cute little property. The room looked like it had been remodeled and modernized somewhat recently. I loved the cute ma & pa feel! The room was clean and didn't have any smells of animals or smoke like other smaller hotels.

It's a good place to stay during November for warmth after being out on the dunes all day. It's a quaint small town. Restaurants, Safeway, and other shops are four miles away for your needs. We enjoyed staying there.

For someone with low expectations, this might be the place for them. However, the beds were incredibly creaky, the heater is just an on/off switch, the shower water pressure is god awful, the "included" breakfast is non-existent, the door lock didn't even work properly (at least on my door), and the boss is naggy. The lobby lady was considerate but consistently pestered us for one thing or another and claimed it was to keep her boss happy (she didn't want to get in trouble). We had to buy a whole extra room because "the boss will get mad". Just for an 8 hour stay.

property is at end of road-cul de sac by Winchester Pier. It is like a cabin that needs upgrading especially for the high room rates. Building is old and their continental breakfast is just few sweet pastries and empty coffee container and no cream or sugar to be seen. They should just not offer continental breakfast anymore to avoid disappointment

Easy overnight stay

Easy overnight motel stay however the wifi was terrible and the room was advertised as including continental breakfast which it did not. The water pressure was great and the local Crabby’s clam chowder was a 10/10!

Outdated motel; better during busy season??

Had we known that we would be the only family staying in this motel we probably would have booked a different place for the night. Staff who checked us in was fine, efficient. Room was plain, outdated, beds were uncomfortable. Being that we were the only people staying in the motel it confused us why we were put on 2nd floor in the very far back corner?? When we booked the motel Hotels.com stated there would be a continental breakfast, but being we were the only people there it didn’t appear they put out any food in the morning. The lights were off in the office area when we left. It is off-season for the town so it was very quiet. We ate at a couple of local places, Locals were very nice. We just needed a place to stay for the night that was along the route of our road trip, so this was fine. We felt safe.
