A generally good stay. The house is cute, safe and in a good location. There are some oversights: there is a microwave but no microwavable plates, the stairway window (in sight of the bed!) could use blinds, and the indoor steps are polished wood (and therefore are very slippery). We enjoyed our stay though the novelty of a tiny home does wear off!
The location was great! Place was cute and clean! Laundry machine was good to have. Outside stairs could use lights at night. Small inside but no issues. Would love to try some of the other places they own in that area as well! Do Recommend!
Ok, positives first - this house is VERY close to Rehoboth Beach - whether you want to walk or drive, it's very convenient. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood despite being close to everything. We also found it very convenient to have a washer and dryer available for use. While not necessarily a negative, this house is SMALL. I know the listing is upfront about it being a tiny home but the listing also describes it as "spacious"... it is not. If you plan on being out and about all day, it probably won't matter but there is virtually no space inside to relax and just chill. Additionally, the steps from the main level to the bedroom area are dangerous - they are steep and slick. Be very careful going up and down them. Finally, it is extremely off-putting to have to take your own bed linens, towels, and paper products. I know that this is the direction house rentals are going and the listing does indicate no linens are provided but, in my opinion, this really defeats the purpose of choosing a home rather than a hotel. These types of changes will definitely cause me to stop using home rental sites for future vacations.
My partner & I arrived at the house at 5:00pm Friday. The house had not been cleaned. There was sand on the floors & sofa. There was a dirty rag in the sink, pillows were thrown on the middle of bed, comforter was in a ball on the floor. Also, there was a bobby-pin on the bathroom counter. I sent a message at 5:15 Friday to the host telling her this but she didnât get back to me. Saturday, a woman, Linda did, I assume she is from Remax. Her response was, âI am not sure what you are asking. Would you like us to send over a cleaner to redo the floors?â It wasnât just the floors, it was the house hadnât been cleaned! They should have sent someone to the house immediately Friday night to clean it. I took it upon myself to clean what I could but with no paper towels or clean rags there wasnât anything I could do. I did sweep the floors. There were no sheets or towels/washclothes. I have never been to a VRBO where sheets and towels were not automatically supplied. We had to go out on a busy holiday weekend and buy sheets and towels, and we donât have a king bed at home. Total waste of money. The TV wouldnât turn on and had no cable attached to it.They said there was an iron and iron board, there was not.Sunday night, came home from dinner, the house was HOT. Both AC units were off. My partner tried a few times to get them on, wouldnât turn on. We slept in a HOT house, sweating with a fly that wouldn't leave us alone. It was MISERABLE. I would like to be compensated
