Pros Great location with private access, close to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, and free public parking in a nearby vacant lot. Quiet, safe area. Spacious master bedroom, large fridge, AC in all rooms, modern décor. Welcome items included salt, oil, herbs, toast, raki, paper kitchen towels, and soap. Two beach chairs, inflatables, and umbrellas provided.Cons Small living/dining area for more than two people. Kitchen with few utensils and little storage. Closets full of personal items. No beach towels. Master bedroom roller blind lets in side light at night. Unattractive views with abandoned buildings. Terrace furniture not very comfortable. Tourist tax charged after booking without prior notice (later removed).Suggestions Provide beach towels, improve kitchen equipment, free up storage space, block side light better, upgrade terrace furniture, and be transparent with extra charges. We truly appreciate the host’s kindness and assistance. Thank you for opening your home to us — it was a great base in Rethymno. Wishing you many happy future guests.
