We spent about one month in the lovely Villa Manoutsio near Episkopi on the Island of Crete in Greece. The villa is very conveniently located to travel anywhere on the island. It is very close to the beach and has some absolutely gorgeous views. Our hosts were wonderful!! They went above and beyond any expectations we could have. The home was very clean and comfortable. It is also very child friendly - with games, toys and outdoor play equipment. The outdoor garden area is quite peaceful and includes a fabulous dining area with fireplace and grilling options. Perfect for outdoor entertainment.We would highly recommend this home and location for travelers with or without children. We would absolutely book again the next time we are fortunate enough to get to Crete.

A Perfect Countryside Retreat in Crete

We had an absolutely wonderful two-week stay at this home! It is perfectly located between Chania and Rethymno, making it easy to explore both cities while enjoying the peacefulness & privacy of the countryside. 2 nearby markets made grocery shopping convenient, and we found incredible restaurants in the area—Hasika in Rethymno was our favorite, with the best Greek salad & bougatsa of our trip!What truly set this VRBO apart was our host, Melina. She warmly greeted us upon arrival and gave us a thorough walkthrough. Not only did she make us feel welcome, but she also prepared a delicious homemade Greek meal, a bottle of wine and her own Raki. Her friendly advice and attentive hospitality throughout our stay made all the difference.The house itself was spotless, with comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. Great A/C & heat. The kitchen & outdoor firepit were well-equipped, making it easy to cook & enjoy meals at home. We visited several stunning beaches, including Elafonisi & Preveli but Episkopi just three minutes from the house was the best! We loved having the best of both worlds—tranquility among the olive & lemon trees while still being close to restaurants & shopping. The outdoor spaces were a highlight; we spent many hours on the beautiful covered patio, balconies to stargaze and both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces added a cozy touch.We are so glad we chose Crete for our March vacation—it was the perfect getaway, and this home made it truly unforgettable.

Could NOT Have Been Better!!!!!

Well, how about PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! I could not say one bad thing about the villa or the owners. Melina and Stelios were fantastic hosts and treated us like royalty. Melina had actually made a us a pasta meal, pastitsio, and it was ready when we arrived. It was delicious and lasted two of us about 3 meals! The villa had EVERYTHING you need! It was beautiful, up a road into the countryside, overlooking Episkipo beach. We had views of the sea and of the mountains. We watched sunrises and sunsets from the terraces at opposite ends of the villa. We sat for hours in the cool shade of the picnic patio (huge). It was quiet and secluded. It is right between Chania and Heraklion, which made it perfect for us to see sites in both areas. Melina even arrange our anniversary dinner at an excellent restaurant. Plus they gave us many tips on local places. 6 night was waaay too short. If we get to return, it will be for a month, at least. I cannot recommend the villa or Melina and Stelios highly enough!!!

Very peaceful place

This villa had everything needed for a comfortable stay and the owners were very kind in leaving little touches like bottled water, wine and even a home-cooked meal. Children under 10 would love the garden with its selection of swings and nets.

A five star stay!

Very nice and absolutely private villa. Very good location in order to explore the whole Crete and a really relaxing garden if you want just to rest! The owner are amazing people, very kind and helpful. Melina's pastitsio is a wonderful meal after a long trip. Ideal place for kids as it has many games for them in an absolutely safe and protected garden. I will defenitely visit them again next summer! Thank you!

Perfect stay in Crete

My two sons and I just returned from out trip to Crete. I'm so happy with this homeaway home. Melina, the home owner, was so helpful! Even before we left The States she was answering questions for me and making phone calls on the island to set up activities. She went above and beyond! Being so far from home and traveling as a single woman with two kids it was comforting feeling like I knew someone when we got there. The house was beautifully decorated. I loved the upstairs decks in the morning with the warm sun on them and views of the ocean and sheep in the field. The house was also spotless! Floors moped, bathrooms clean, comfortable linens that are changed out every three days by a house keeper. While on the island, Milana made some more calls for me to set up a tour and to make sure I was getting a good deal. She made great recommendations and gave me good directions. It was our Easter during out stay (Greece's Easter a week later) The home owners made a nice table of traditional Easter treats, cookies, dyed red eggs, Cheese pies, Raki etc. So happy to have met she and her husband and thrilled with our choice of houses for our holiday.

A prefect place to enjoy Crete

Melina and Stelios are great hosts,, good communication from time of booking to end of holiday. The villa is very well equipped with everything that you need to enjoy your holiday, even beach towels. We enjoyed the outside space including the barbecue and pizza oven and the upper deck was a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine. Melina madeus a casserole dish of Greek pasta of which we ate every last morsel. Would recommend this villa to anyone visiting Crete.

Beautiful property, wonderful hosts!

We arrived at Episkopi beach where we were met by Stelios, Melina's husband. He brought us from the highway, to make sure we would find our way. The hospitality and help that Melina and Stelios offer is exceptional, and much, much appreciated!! The property is very comfortable and great indoors and outdoor space. While quite close to the main National road in Crete, so quite convenient, it is far enough that you hear nothing but an occassional farm animal. Lots of olive and fruit trees. Distant views of the ocean. Wish I could be there again!

Just as described and a wonderful holiday!

Our holiday was perfect - exactly what we wanted. The villa is very peaceful and secluded, very accessible to a beautiful beach and, if you hire a car, to village shops and delightful places in this part of Crete. Melina and Stelios have made this lovely house very comfortable, and were keen to help if we ever had problems, which happily we never did.We really loved it there!

Just perfect!

We've spent one week at this beautiful place. Villa is very comfortable and has everything that one can think about. What is especially great is the location. It was so great to sit outside and enjoy the evenings - no city noises, olive trees around, fresh air and beautiful sky. Eine super Unterkunft, bestens ausgestattet in toller Gegend. Alles picobello sauber, sehr geräumig und alle Räume klimatisiert. Eine voll ausgestattete Küche und wunderschöner Garten mit gemütlicher Sitzecke zum Essen oder verweilen. Geschäfte in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar. We spent 15 days in this house 500 m from the sea. We were very kindly received by Melina with pasticcio, fruit, wine, oil, ... Everything was there to start our stay well. The house was very clean and equipped with all amenities. Plenty of space both inside and outside. Melina took the time to ask about us during our stay. The property is very well located, surrounded by olive trees. It is an ideal place to relax, visit the sandy beaches on the coast of Episkopi, or even visit this magnificent island. We had an excellent stay and as always too short!

Séjour très agréable

La maison correspond exactement à la description et aux photos. Elle est très bien placée, au milieu des champs d'oliviers, et l'on entend uniquement le chant des oiseaux et celui des cigales.La propriétaire est charmante et à notre écoute. Little paradise

Our holiday was just perfect. When we arrived a freshly cooked pastisio waited for us in the oven. We got plenty of suggestions for restaurants and trips, which were all great. The garden is amazing and the place is only 5 minutes away from the beach. Even the south of crete can be reached within less than an hour. We will surely return!

Wir würden sehr herzlich empfangen. Ein Pastitio war für uns zubereitet worden, Raki und Wasser standen kalt u.d eine große Schüssel mit frischem Obst stand auch noch da. Total entspannter Urlaub

Wir waren mit vier Erwachsenen 11 Tage im Haus. Der Kontakt mit Melina war über die gesamten Tage außergewöhlich gut. Sie hat uns jederzeit bei allen Fragen und Problemen geholfen. Es fing schon mit der Begrüßung an. Ein Auflauf war schon im Ofen und Getränke im Kühlschrank. Dafür nochmal ein herzliches Dankeschön. Sie hat uns alles Wissenswertes in Ruhe erklärt und gezeigt. Die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestattet was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Alles ist in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Lage in einem Olivenhain ist ruhig, abgesehen von den pflichtbewußten Hähnen in der Umgebung. Der Strand, mit einen schönen Beachbar/Taverne und kostenfreien Liegen, ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zum Einkaufen benötigt man einen fahrbaren Untersatz den man auf Kreta sowieso haben muss. Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub in der Unterkunft. Von uns aus absolut Empfehlenswert !!!
