To all facilities Only when you need us! Very safe to be on a Greek traditional village. Everybody looks after you. Wonderful place for Families. Very quite :-) By buss or by renting a car.
This property is a bit off the beaten track. That's part of its charme, but maybe not to everyone's liking. The old house is charming and nicely done up.Communication was excellent and when we had a complaint, it was immediately dealt with. The pictures, however, do not always show the furniture as it is right now (the arrangement is different and there are fewer beds than the pictures suggest). And don't expect a whirlpool (as it said somewhere in the description). But overall: very nice place!

The house itself is gorgeous. It is spacious and the furniture is romantic. The equipment is very good. There are plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. The jacuzzi is great. The location is somewhat unusual in a village that is like a maze with narrow streets house by house. You have to like that. But it didn't bother us at all. The neighbors were very welcoming and before you know it, you are sitting with you drinking wine and eating Greek delicacies. Martin, who met us, was very friendly and showed us everything. You can get anywhere with a rental car. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay in Malona. Thank you!
Great house, great host - but the village is not what you may expect
The house itself is perfect - beautiful inside and well equipped. In addition, Konstantinou is a most welcoming host - we enjoyed a great communication with him and Martin who helped to welcome us - both were absolutely kind. Further they were so nice to grant a late check out. The only thing that is not perfect is the village itself. Streets are totally narrow (driving and parking the car therein was difficult) and - well, the village is simply not beautiful. Basic little houses with rosty garages, no green. We therefore never used the terrace but ate inside. If you do not look for a nice village, the house is a good location. Drive 5 min and you are out of the village - and the Rhodos island adventure begins. The nearness of Haraki and Lindos is a plus.
Malona is a lovely village, not at all touristy, but people in the local businesses speak good English and are really friendly. The house is beautifully kept and appointed. The nearest beach is one of the most pleasant on the island - again, not overly developed. You are well placed about half-way down the East coast of the island, and its easy to get to most of the things you would want to see. The only downside is that the roads leading to it are quite narrow, and parking can be a little tricky. But the owner and caretaker are incredibly helpful.
Dear Fotis, We really enjoyed our one week stay in your really beautifully presented period house. Very relaxing atmosphere, lots of period details personal touches and with spacious accommodation. We were very well looked after by Martin, who gave us a very warm welcome and made himself available if required. No sea view but an excellent base from which to explore the centre and southern regions of the island - the proximity to an excellent sandy beach at Agathi was a real bonus. Many happy memories - even in October the sun and sea were both uplifting. Hope to return before too long.
Fotis was an extremely helpful and attentive host, answering all of our questions almost instantly and making some fantastic recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Our transfer from the airport to the property went very smoothly (all arranged by Fotis) and we were welcomed warmly. The property itself was reasonably well equipped and the air conditioning was a fantastic addition. Lemon tree house is situated in a quiet village (with very friendly neighbours!) and with a good supermarket a 2 minute walk away. Haraki beach is a 10 minute drive away with a selection of good tavernas and a stony beach. There are beautiful views to the castle ruins which are lit up at night. Agathi beach was located very close to Haraki with a lovely sandy beach and a few beach bars. It was good for families as the sea remained fairly shallow for quite a long distance from the beach and there were good toilet facilities. Our favourite beach was Tsambika which was around a 15 minute drive away and had all of the advantages of Agathi but it was larger and the sunbeds were positioned further apart so it felt less crowded. There were also a good selection of water sports and inflatable water park for the children. All in all a fantastic stay, thank you Fotis!
