Contemporary 1 BR APT - 5 min walk to River
Conveniently located within walking distance to the Richland "Uptown", under 5 min drive to the Columbia River, or Kadlec Medical center. Two on site laundry rooms, apartment is fully stocked, sofa folds down for additional sleeping area. Personal patio to enjoy your morning coffee. Wonderful shops and restaurants close by including Adventures Underground, Fat Olives, live music at The Emerald of Siam Thai Restaurant and Lounge, Kegan's coffee and crepes, Spudnuts, Bagels and Gelato and more!
Nice clean apartment, pictures are accurate. Kitchen has all the basics you might need. Just right for two people. The door lock was new to me â all dark until you cover it with your hand, then the numbers light up. Worked just fine for me. This is an upstairs apartment, and the stairwell is a bit narrow. Quiet complex, I did not hear any of the neighbors during my stay. I thought the bed was a little soft. Easy walking distance to Uptown. It took me 15-20 minutes to get to the pretty parts of the river walk, either Leslie Groves Park to the North of Howard Amon Park to the South.
Absolutely loved the area, property and location. Super nice and spacious for a one bedroom. Highly recommend. Will be staying again when we stay in the Tri Cities.
Pros:
Very clean, homey place.
Great location.
Pull out bed is comfortable.
Cons:
Communication. No apartment number given until a couple hours after I messaged asking. Luckily, we figured it out being that it was the only one with a smart door lock.
Bed is a bit stiff and furniture in living room isn't very comfortable. Not much lounging potential. Not terrible though.
When I arrived just after 5:00 PM to check-in to my rental, since this was an apartment complex, there was no one on site to identify for me which apartment I was to stay in. I noticed there were two doors with the appropriate locks on them, so I tried the key code I was given on both doors, but it didn't work. Luckily I was able to contact a resident in the apt complex who gave me the number of the property management company. When I called, they were closed. According to their recorded phone greeting, they had closed at 5:00 PM, but as a result of the phone message I left, someone was notified and did come to the parking lot and let me in to my rental. She told me she had decided to change the key code after I had made my reservation. Unfortunately, she changed the code after I had printed up my rental materials! I told her the issue was exacerbated because the phone number of the management company wasn't given in the rental materials I printed up, only a LINK to it. So that meant I had no phone number to call if I ran into trouble checking in. I hadn't noticed this number wasn't listed when I printed up my rental materials. So checking in was a complete nightmare. I did enjoy my stay once I was able to get in.
I would suggest that key codes not be changed until the next person rents the property (!) and that the phone number to the property management company be available in rental materials not as a link, but as the actual phone number to call!
