Situated on the outskirts of Richmond (5.5 miles), it's in the perfect location to explore the Norman castle, discover Easby Abbey ruins or browse the Saturday market. Stop off for tea and cake at the historic disused railway station where you will also find a two-screen cinema, a brewery, an artisan deli, and an ice cream parlour. Get the family together for a day out at Kiplin Hall and Gardens (6 miles). There, you can wander through the hall’s grand rooms, take a stroll around the lake, stop to smell the flowers in the walled gardens and treat yourself to something delicious in the tearoom.
