Mostly good.

I sent my adult children to Richmond for a concert. I prepaid the hotel room in put it in my oldest's name. They still had a complicated check in. It took multiple phone calls, texts, and email searches to get them checked in. None of my emails had a confirmation number, just a reservation number. The checkin process needs to be easier, especially when parties are traveling out-of-state.

Bathroom

When taking the shower, the water drains in the shower and them comes up in the drain on the bathroom floor, making it unsafe for anyone walking in or out of the bathroom, with water all over the floor. I did speak with the front desk personnel and they said they would check it out.

Upon check-in, I was told that breakfast would be down downstairs from 7 to 10 o’clock. It was my impression that there was a continental breakfast. Once we arrived downstairs in the morning, the options were a beverage, an extremely limited food that you had to pay for.

I never felt entirely safe in the part of town at this location. Always made certain that I was in before dark. Staff checking in was very nice, otherwise never saw a soul. Parking was very isolated and scary. The hotel itself is very outdated and looks like something from the 1970’s. Would not stay again.

Better than the Jersey hotel

We were in the area for a concert. We chose this hotel for a couple reasons, one being that it didn't charge for parking. Overall the hotel was nice. It had a decent lobby you could use. Even after the food area was long closed, the staff had no problem with us eating our after concert meal in the lobby. If I had to pick a fault, it wasn't anything they did wrong. Our AC quit working and our room was hot, but we were all too tired at midnight to do anything about it. I alerted staff in the morning and they said they'd have moved us, had they known. Again, this is 100% our fault for not wanting to move. Beds were comfy. No weird smells. Would stay here again.
