The Lodge was a great place to stay! Sharon the owner came by to say hi and made sure we had everything we needed. She also gave us information about near by activities and entertainment. The VRBO app didnât send us any checkin or checkout info but Sharon was great to respond quickly. We discovered âThe Lodgeâ has had some updates! The master bedroom had a king bed and bunk beds. The other room had a queen bed(no pullout beds).Master bath had a large double shower(no jetted tub). The kitchen had everything, It was well stocked! My kids loved the âhot chocolateâ machine so much we ended ordering one. Outside the grounds were very well kept and the location was great. We will definitely be back!
We arrived after dark and were delighted by the outdoor Christmas light display on the property. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed except the ice maker in the fridge did not work. We liked that there was a library full of classical books, and the comfy sofa and chairs invited afternoon and evening reading. We would have sat by the fire to read, but the lighting was poor. End tables and lamps would have been nice. We prefer a king bed; however, the queen bed was comfy. If we are in the area again, we will definitely consider another stay at this property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We used this more as a hub for sleeping after our various activity full days. It was nice to have a place large enough that we could spread out. This would be perfect for a small family reunion especially if you rented the lodge and some of the surrounding cabins. Our only regret is that we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful surroundings enough! Highly recommend!
This place was beautiful and perfect for a couple or Family. The lodge and grounds are top notch. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars in that the second bedroom has only a pull out couch in it and I think that is a little deceiving. Also, the basement is used by the staff for cleaning other units on the grounds so there are people coming in and out the back door by the Kitchen between 11 and 4. The staff is very kind and courteous so this was not a big deal to my party, it just would have been nice to know what was happening.
We loved staying here. The cabin is even more spacious and comfortable then expected. The property itself is just lovely. We so enjoyed the paddle boats, the bikes that were free to use, the games in the borrow barn. And if we'd had more evening time there, we certainly would have enjoyed the fire pits. We are so grateful for our time there and hope to return.
When we booked our stay it said nothing about other random people we didnât know staying in the basement while we stayed upstairs. Had we known that we would of stayed somewhere else. It made us feel very uncomfortable and we were not happy. The only reason Iâm giving one star is because the location and the upstairs of the lodge was beautiful.
