Very disappointing. Our room met our expectations which we did really like, however we had one big problem - a cat. The cat was nice and very friendly, which was the problem. I am highly allergic to cats and this cat was allowed free reign of the property, including the bar and eating areas. Even at night the cat came outside of our screen door meowing and waking us up all evening long. This defeated the purpose of getting the beachfront room with double doors to relax as I was terrified for most of the stay. We left the next morning as I was scared of having an allergic reaction out in the middle of nowhere. We asked for a refund for our second night but we were. not given it.
The property itself is very nice and the food is great. We were very disappointed to find the beach completely littered with garbage and seaweed. The beach and water are the only things to enjoy in that area so between that and the cat it was a day and evening lost out of our vacation.
The front desk manager Jill is very helpful and very nice along with the rest of the staff.
With some beach cleaning and animal control, this could be an amazing retreat to relax.
For now, don't plan on snorkeling or enjoying the beach as it is the windy party of the island so not much to do but read a book in your room.
