Chula Vista by Island House Vacation Rentals

From it's perch in the hills overlooking the South shore of West Bay, Chula Vista offers a private paradise of stunning Caribbean Sea and jungle views. The villa is surrounded by lush tropical foliage and mature gardens, the exterior spaces of the villa are extensive and offer plenty of room to relax in the peace and quiet or gather together and socialise. With the trade winds often blowing, the sea breezes flowing through Chula Vista make it comfortable to enjoy the home without air conditioing if you prefer natural wind to AC.

You will find it hard to leave the pool deck where you can enjoy morning coffee overlooking the water listening to the abundant birds. In the afternoons, have a dip and cool off with a cocktail or laze by the pool with a good book. The large BBQ grill is perfect to cook up the catch of the day.

The kitchen has been described as "spectacular" and "better than my kitchen at home" on more than one occasion. It is well stocked with plenty of cookware, dinnerware, pots & pans and utensils. It has plenty of counter space, extra sinks, professional range and large pantry with fridge. 

With 3 separate suites, the house is perfect for 3 couples or families with older children (note the separate sleeping areas). Each bedroom suite has it own bathroom a separate entry offering privacy and space for all. Twin beds in downstairs guest suite can be set up as a king for couples.

We recommend a rental car for ease of getting around, West Bay is a 3-minute drive and West End 10 minutes by car. However, if you love to walk, the stroll to West Bay Beach is under 15 minutes.

7 days in paradise

Absolutely beautiful house and location. This was our first time to Roatan, and this was the perfect sanctuary to come home to every day. The fabulous kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals, which we often did. (But we also enjoyed the local food every day! Make sure to try the baleadas!) We slept like babies and swam in the gorgeous pool every morning. The management staff, groundskeepers and housekeepers were the best and made our stay so enjoyable. Chula Vista is perfect for families with older teens . Highly recommended!! P.S., if you come here, make sure to visit the east end of the island as well, and take a guided tour, you won’t regret it!! P.S., we rented a car and would do so again for ease of transportation. Thank you, Chula Vista! !Hasta la proxima ves!

Awesome place in Roatan

The listing was as stated 100%. Wonderful kitchen with all the appliances and utensils you could ever need. It was super clean. There was a new property being built across the street so there was a little bit of noise but nothing too bad and it didn’t even bother us one bit. The location was perfect for being out of the way of traffic and the tourism hustle while being perfectly located close to West Bay Beach and only a 5-10 minute drive to West End. I would recommend a car rental if you like to explore. It would be about a 1 mile walk down to West Bay Beach if you choose. All in all, we loved it and the Island House Team was super responsive and helpful in planning excursions. I would definitely recommend this property and their team to anyone looking for a getaway!
