Everyone I conversed with at the property was pleasant and seemed glad to share what they knew about the island. The grounds were beautiful. I was able to easily get breakfast to go at pineapple grille and up one more flight...HERBYS is a great spot to get better -than - bar food while watching a dozen different games. Check with the gents at the front desk and you can catch a courtesy shuttle to and from a private lagoon for a few hours of swimming and chillin'. Walking distance from the mall too!

The room had a fair strong, strange smell. The complimentary airport shuttle service was inadequate. When arranging a ride to the airport, the only late morning options were 0930 and 1230 departures. As a result, my 0930 was completely packed and my fold down seat was uncomfortable. With a full van, ALL of the bags were put in a second van that broke down halfway to the airport. Our driver left us wondering at airport curbside without explanation of our baggage delay. Turns out he retrieved the bags from the broken van. But no apology for the 25 minute delay. If the hotel offered service every hour, or at least every 90 minutes (say 0730,0900,1030,1200), then the ride would not have been uncomfortable, and the bags could have accompanied the passengers. The room was very reasonably priced, but I can’t recommend this hotel as I experienced it.

yes the staff were courteous. It was annoying that when you walked up 3 flights of stairs to get to Herbie's the restaurant door was locked and they wouldn't let you in that way. They insist that you take the elevator via the garage but I don't like elevators if I can avoid them

Things started it out rocky with the courtesy airport shuttle showing up an hour after my scheduled pick up. The resort reception was very welcoming, and the staff provided me with two drink coupons to Herby's in an attempt to get my trip back on track. I had a gorgeous sea view from my Villa. The elevators swiftly worked. My room was very spacious and the A/C was already blowing. The fully stocked kitchen was a pleasant surprise. All the lights and electrical plugs were in good working order. There were no foul odors. Staff was always very kind and courteous.

hotel was lovely. beautiful pool and waterfall. good breakfast. room was a bit small but comfortable. plug on hairdryer looked cracked. shower different. loose handle on turn on part. had to pull down on lower unit to get shower to flow. receptionists were very helpful. only disappointment was we were supposed to get airport transfer and no one showed up. had to take a taxi. There is no gift shop on the property of any kind so could not purchase needed toiletries. there are no sidewalks to walk to store of any kind. so unless you have a car or use a taxi, no way to get to conveniences

I had a wonderful stay at Clarion Suites Roatan at Pineapple Villas in French Harbour—it’s a beautiful spot. The staff was super professional and courteous from start to finish. William at the spa desk deserves a huge shout-out; he was so attentive and helpful, taking care of all my arrangements and making my day there perfect. Jake and John at the front desk were absolute stars—kind, courteous, and always ready to assist. The cleaning crew was amazing too, taking care of every request without hesitation. The grounds are just spectacular, with that perfect tropical vibe, gorgeous pools, and landscaping. We loved eating at Herbie’s Sports Bar & Grill—the food was delicious and really topped off the experience. Can’t wait to come back; this place made for an unforgettable Roatan getaway!
