Great home for larger families

My husband and I brought our 4 kids, ages 11-17. Everyone had plenty of space and their own room (using the separate smaller villa as well). The AC worked well, house/grounds kept clean. Only thing that could be improved is the water pressure in the master bathroom. Overall well worth it, easy drive to West end and rhe 3”East side to see the entire island!

Glorious and awesome!

What a spot! I have to say that the location of the house was utterly fabulous. As I lay in bed or did yoga or visited with my family right in front of the huge glass walls opening out onto a most gorgeous ocean in every shade of blue and gray, depending on the weather, with the palm trees and other flowers and plants dotting the beach, I felt like I was soaking in paradise. We felt totally safe, which is not always the case in this part of the world, such that we didn't worry about walking the beach alone, day or night. Every time we left, all I wanted was to come back, as the towns were chaotic and there were sales people roaming the beaches. My one disapointment was that the "bedroom" with the single bed is actually a nook with no door inside the second master. I had counted on that room for my teen who needs her space and that didn't work out. We loved the brewery walking distance, just outside the gate, and also had a couple of extra nice meals at the Cove restaurant in the resort. The prices at both places, as well as the taxis and groceries are at or above American standard costs, though, FYI. The pool was clean and lovely and we especially loved the dock and the shaded hammocks and loungers at the end. Perfect for swimming off of in the lovely clear, flat water, especially since quite a bit of sea grass grows in the water near the beach. We had a couple minor issues at the house during our two weeks and the management fixed them promptly. Highly recommend.

This house is incredible!

We loved Casa Luz! It was perfect for our two families (10 total), so perfectly appointed, lots of seating, kitchen had everything we needed, tons of bath and beach towels, conveniently located in the subdivision to the restaurant, pier, plus everything on the island. We loved the staff at the restaurant and the property manager Stephanie and her ladies took great care of us!

Nice but needing changes.

The building was nice but I found it inexcusable to have a sofa bed in one of the bedrooms. It was uncomfortable and not needed . Put a queen size bed in. There was no clothes closet in the master suite. Crazy! The main sliding door (witch weigh 200-300 lbs) was impossible for the women and children to open Lubricate! The lights weren't working out back were the cars are. It tough at night seeing where you're going. And MOST OF ALL the main TV was in the kitchen which no one could see. It should have been placed in the living room behind the couch. Get rid of that useless window.

Amazing vacation!

We had an incredible vacation at Palmetto Bay. There were 11 of us there for a Christmas holiday and we all had a great time. The excursions were well planned and exactly what we wanted. The meals were good, service excellent and everyone was so helpful. If we needed or wanted anything all we had to do was ask! Our accommodations were very nice and the grounds were beautifully maintained. And Stephanie was amazing! Anything we asked for she made happen. She even baked a cake for my son's birthday on Dec 26! I highly recommend staying at this wonderful resort. I'd go back anytime!!

You won't be disappointed!

If you are browsing the photos of this home and wondering if what you see is what you'll get, you will not be disappointed. This home is gorgeous and spacious- exactly what you see. The wall to wall windows on both floors provide beautiful views of the ocean all day. The breezes on the decks are so refreshing. The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, plates, etc. The pool is just a 2 minute stroll down the beach which turned out to be a fun 'second' home where the resort servers are very welcoming and it's a great place to relax or borrow a paddle boat. The only negative for us was the distance to even a small market or somewhere to get a snack for the kids. But if your main goal is simple, laid-back family time in the house, sand, sea and pool, you can't do better than this rental!
