Not the best weekend for a family wedding. Booked 2 nights and on the second day was told to leave my room at 12.00! Room was cold, hot water took 5 mins to come though not instant. Dirty cups for a brew. Some stains on headboard. In all no attention to detail. No one at the bar to get a drink, other people was waiting too. Don't think i would stay again unless things improved.

The room was cold and felt damp. I had to turn the radiator on, then decided to have a hot drink where i found two dirty cups, one i had to wash. Then i had a phone call from reception at 12 to tell me to keave the room asap. But i had booked for 2 nights. The shower took 5 mins to warm up andbthe dan wascnitvwitking in the bathroom so everything ws wet. All little things but does need attention to detail. Also when attending the wedding party, no mone was at the bar i had to wait around but then they came from the back room. This happened twice and some other guests went to the other wedding bar to get served. All not good. I wouldn't recommend to friends.

This is a beautiful hotel but the Spa was closed for refurbishment and this was not listed on the details on hotel.com. This was a defining feature that we selected this hotel upon so we were really disappointed as it looked lovely. Other than that, the room was ok, small but perfectly appointed and comfortable. The service was a little off at the restaurant; friendly but patchy. Good vfm though.

When I checked in it was early hours of the morning due to travel. The property doors were open, no one was on the desk and the 24hr number wasn’t working. I could see my check in card over the desk so I had to fish it to me to be able to get in my room. I could’ve been anyone. There were plus sockets behind to hanging off the wall in my room and a dirty mug. The hotel staff were not as knowledgeable as they used to be and it all felt robotic. Lost its old charm. I tried to get a drink, which was a painful process because my card wasn’t linked to my room. The price of the drink was ridiculous. I’m from the south and am used to it, but London prices in Rochdale?? City centre I get. I have family nearby so have visited many many times over the years. All looks smart on face of it but behind the scenes it’s totally lost its local out of the city charm. Wasn’t awful and was pretty clean but soulless! Shame. Lift also not great. Main concern the security side!

Rooms were very clean , all staff really smartly dressed and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast we payed for and were very pleased with , it had all that we needed (sausage , bacon, egg , hash brown, beans etc )and juice , coffee and im sure if you looked (which i didn't) there were vegetarian and vegan options also. We visited the spa while there and was very impressed with the amenities and also we had massages ...excellant we thought .
