UPDATE: Gunga Galunga is professionally cleaned. This property is a wonderful location for family and friends to enjoy with beautiful views of the Albemarle sound and a private pier.

We do not cater to TRAVELING CONSTRUCTION CREWS due to issues in the past..

Welcome to Gunga Galunga! SANDY BOTTOM WATERFRONT. A bright and light beautiful 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home situated on the beautiful Albermarle Sound Waterfront. We are so excited to share it with you. Enjoy gorgeous waterfront views from the living room, seating area and the kitchen. The Large porch and open area on the waterside with great seating, has fantastic views which makes for relaxing times. Farm land on the front side of the house completes the beautiful views from this home.
The living room is a bright and comfortable space to gather with family and friends. There is a dining table for 6 and a well-equipped kitchen with 6 bar stools on the large kitchen island.

The spacious top-floor master has a king size bed with new linens and an en- suite bath. There are 2 guest bedrooms upstairs. Both have queen size beds.. The other bedroom has a queen size bed on the main floor area. There is a full bath on the main floor. Each bed is very comfy and there are fluffy towels in each bath. Other amenities include gas log, smart Roku tv in living room, washer/dryer and a large outdoor shower and changing area with hot and cold water.

The porch has beautiful views as well as a view of the Cypress trees where Osprey birds stop and have a fish lunch. There are Carolina classic swivel wicker chairs on the porch where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

While staying on Albemarle Beach Road you can also enjoy the Mackeys Marina Bar and restaurant located 5 minutes away. Two cruiser bikes are included if you care to enjoy an early morning/afternoon ride down a quiet and peaceful road. The road is dead-end which makes it nice for biking and walking.

There is so much to enjoy here!! Just over an hour away from the Outer Banks, Manteo and Nags Head. You can also just relax and enjoy the simple life here at the sound. I recommend slowing down and relaxing and enjoying friends and family.

This is our home and while we are happy to share it with you, we ask that you please treat it kindly and love it like we do. Please avoid causing damage.

Downtown Plymouth is just a few minutes from our home and it offers some quaint shops and dining. Coming soon, The Inner-banks Harbor town excursion boats will be offering adventure cruises on the Albermarle Sound. www.harbortowncruises.com

Wi-Fi is a little slow in this area of NC. But it works for us and our family. We have Roku streaming tv in the living and in the master bedroom. All other bedrooms and tvs are for just gaming. Bring your gaming system. We like the relaxing side of life so we love sitting on the porch and just reconnecting with our loved ones and friends just talking. Slowing down for change.


Please be Respectful of the neighbors and their property lines.


Water access is a few steps away on a private pier. NO DIVING Just swim around the pier. Sandy bottom.

No smoking or Vaping. As a reminder, please no traveling construction crews, we cannot host.

Great stay!

The property is so beautiful and Mr white had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of towels just a really at home feel. 10/10 would come back.

Wonderful property

This home was in a great location for a golf getaway. The owner and property manager are meticulous in the care of the property and the guests. The check in and out procedures were seamless with exceptional communication. This house is even nicer than the pics imply. We look forward to booking here again soon!

Amazing home. Such a hidden gem.

We’ve been visiting the Albemarle Sound for nearly 50 years and Joey’s home is our favorite. Beautiful home with well-appointed rooms and a stunning view. Better than we hoped. Joey is a gracious host and I’d recommend his home to anyone.

Well maintained property

Beautiful house with plenty of room to spread out in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Property is well kept and supplied. Manicured yard was perfect for afternoon lawn games and happy hour. Dock is a great place for fishing, water sports and sunning. Great views of the sound and wildlife from dock and deck. Conveniently located to local towns for day trips and shopping. Owner and property manager are great, a definite keeper for a return visit!

Beautiful home!

We were in the area to fish a Major League Fishing event on the Chowan River. The house and yard are very well maintained. The back porch has nice furniture, and a great view of the Sound. Beautiful sunsets! An added bonus was how friendly the neighbors on both sides are! Definitely plan to come back!

Great house in an awesome location

Albemarle beach is a hidden gem and this house enabled us to take full advantage of everything this area has to offer. The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The folks that we worked with along the way (Joey and Alex) were very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. Neighbors were great also. 100% recommend!

A true delight!

We had a wonderful stay! This home has so many nice touches and had everything we could have needed. Very well equipped! You can feel the love when you walk in. The views were great! Outstanding home away from home

The pictures did not do this home justice as this home was absolutely beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful. Great views, quiet area, and easy to get too. Not to mention to beautiful view of the sound. Our family of 6 was visiting family near by and we wanted to share stories of my late father. We couldn't have asked for a better place. We had an outstanding communication with the owner and the manager during our stay and their recommendations of places to eat and see were on point. Thank you to both Joey and Alex for the outstanding hospitality.

Stunning Views

Absolutely perfect stay on the Albemarle Sound! The house is beautiful and had more than enough room for our group. The view of the Albemarle Sound is stunning even on a stormy day. The water is shallow and warm for swimming. We brought our own SUPs, but there are also kayaks there so you can explore the nearby cypress forest. There are lots and lots of birds darting between the shore and the trees and the fish are often jumping. It’s an outdoor paradise!

Wonderful home! I strongly recommend a stay at this property if you like a very clean, spacious and comfortable home. The property is as described and the pictures don’t do it justice. The views from the back of the house are beautiful. We especially loved sitting on the doc. The house is well stocked with all the essentials and plenty of extras. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. I will mention that there are a lot of stairs, however there were 7 of us ranging in age from 62 to 74 and did not find them to be an issue. Check in was a breeze! The property manager, Alex is super nice and so willing to help. My family is already planning a return trip next year!

Magical

The house was magical. Although the weather did not cooperate thanks to tropical storms and tornado warnings we had a wonderful time. We were able to kayak a few times, although we usually ended up paddling in the rain. It was such a treat to have a dock right behind the house with easy access to the sound. The porch was our favorite spot and we spent a lot of time out there watching the dolphins in the sound. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the house came with everything we could possibly need. We cannot wait to return!
