## Neighborhood
Rue Jeanne d'Arc is one of the main and most emblematic thoroughfares in the city of Rouen, in Normandy. It runs through a large part of the city centre and is particularly steeped in history.
Rue Jeanne d'Arc starts at Gare de Rouen Rive Droite, which is located on a hill, and runs down to the Seine, joining the historic heart of Rouen. It stretches for over a kilometre.
Monuments of note : / Joan of Arc Tower: Located at the upper end of the street, near the station, this tower is the only remnant of the castle where Joan of Arc was imprisoned before her trial.
/The HĂŽtel de Ville (Town Hall): An imposing neo-classical building located just off the rue Jeanne d'Arc.
/ Saint-Patrice Church: Not far from the street, with its flamboyant Gothic architecture.
Rue Jeanne d'Arc runs through several of Rouen's most important districts:
/Commercial district: The middle part of the rue Jeanne d'Arc is particularly busy with shops. It is home to many big names, local boutiques and shopping centres such as Printemps.
The street ends near the Pont Jeanne d'Arc, which crosses the Seine, linking the right bank of Rouen to the left bank. This area is also a strategic point for travel between the two parts of the city.
Today, rue Jeanne d'Arc is a focal point of Rouen. It is frequented by locals and tourists alike. The Rouen tramway runs along it, making it easy to get around the city. The mix of shops, public institutions and historic buildings gives it an atmosphere that is both modern and rooted in the past.
All in all, rue Jeanne d'Arc is a true reflection of the diversity and rich history of Rouen, as well as being a lively and central place in the daily lives of its residents.
Please note that the building does not have a lift and that the flat is located on the 3rd floor. Access may be difficult for people with reduced mobility or those carrying large suitcases.
