Rustic Cozy Cabin at the base of Greenhorn Mountian

Bigfoot is waiting to welcome you to Bearlane’s cabin on Graneros Creek sitting at the base of Greenhorn Mountain in Rye, Co. Only 45 minutes south of Pueblo, this rustic 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin sleeps up to 6 people and a dog under 50lbs. Sitting near a relaxing running stream, in a quiet neighborhood, and among multiple 50’ pines, you will experience many of nature’s greatest gifts such as deer, Abert squirrels, foxes, and on some occasions, bears and mountain lions.

A full kitchen with basic items, a tv with cable, a DVD player (and a lot of movies), and multiple games are just some of the features that await you on the inside. Depending on the time of the year you visit, you may experience the natural water slides at San Isabel (15 minutes away), Hollydot Golf Course (15 minutes away) World Famous Bishop’s Castle (21 minutes away) beautiful San Isabel Lake (15 minutes away) and numerous hiking trails all around.

Enjoying the full beauty of the Rye no matter when you stay, this area is well worth experiencing. If you are visiting during the summer season, you are able to Kayak or fish at beautiful San Isabel Lake, go sliding down the natural water slide, hike the trails, BBQ on the patio, play cornhole, ride bikes (we have 6 bikes of assorted sizes) golf at Hollydot Golf Course, or relax in the hammock while listening to the relaxing sound of the creek 20 feet away. If you are visiting during the winter season, you are able to enjoy a nice day on San Isabel Lake ice fishing, experience many miles of trials of snowshoeing, and laugh while sledding at San Isabel or down Linger Longer Lane, all while coming back to the warm crackling fireplace waiting for you, or if you are looking to escape while still having to work, connect to our wifi and sit by the creek and get the best of both worlds.

THE PRICE IS PER STAY, NOT PER PERSON. When reserving, please let us know how many people will be staying so we can ensure to provide enough towels.

Cozy family retreat!
Bearlane Cabin is a cozy, comfortable place where families can retreat, rest, and plan their mountain adventures. The hosts have thought of everything - toys, bikes and games for the kids; toiletries (in case you forgot); wood for the fire pit and fireplace; a fully stocked kitchen; and cable TV (which was used only to watch Bob Ross paint mountains after time spent wandering in the mountains!) The cabin is rustic with modern comforts and conveniences, and the back yard provides outdoor space with a picnic table, fire pit, lighting, and plenty of seating. If you have very young children, the creek behind the cabin makes close outdoor supervision a necessity. The creek is a beautiful feature, and the sound of the water is soothing. The kids enjoyed finding the various Bigfoot inside and outside the cabin, and several little extras from the hosts were appreciated. Rye and the Greenhorn Mountain area are stunningly beautiful, with lakes and hiking trails for all skill levels nearby. Highly recommended!

Quick Getaway
My Husband and I decided on a impromptu trip this weekend, and it lead us to Colorado. Cara's house was perfect for us and our 2 service dogs. We got there, and it was snowing. Everything was white. The river was running behind the house. We would gave used the firepits outside, but it was in the 20s. The master bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is fully stocked. And the kitchen had everything we could ask for. Cara was very easy to communicate with. She even made me a private listing when I needed help. We will definitely be back, in the spring and fall!

Love this place
The owners put a lot of effort in their preparation of this cabin as they have thought of most everything that people will need to enjoy a few days off the grid. Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your tooth brush or some other necessity; they had us covered. We enjoyed mornings cooking on the wood fired stove and the evenings relaxing by the fireplace. We really enjoyed our time here and even spotted a mountain lion.

Rye Relaxation
Cara & Jerry were excellent hosts, providing a beautifully adorned and furbished cabin that kept us warm and comfortable even during the sub-zero-*F. weather during our stay. Their hospitality, amenities and preparations for our stay were much appreciated, as was their extra thoughtfullness towards our granddaughter - the b-day gift and sled were a big hit! We look forward to booking this property again! Joe & Jan

Great escape away!
This cabin had everything we needed for our family getaway. The cabin had a lot of thoughtful touches and was well stocked with kitchen, bathroom and linen supplies. Sweet treats for the kids, a fireplace ready to be lit with plenty of wood, and lots of games that we enjoyed helped us disconnect from our busy everyday lives and enjoy each other. Neighborhood was quiet and the creek was a great place for boys to explore. Thanks again!

Absolute gem, a must stay!
We cannot speak highly enough about our stay at the cabin. My wife and family were looking for a quiet relaxing getaway that felt off the grid, but also like home.. and this was it. We fell in love with the place the moment we pulled into the driveway. Everything from the welcome card to the Christmas cookies, and all of the little details throughout the house made for such an amazing stay. The property has a creek right behind it, string lights, a cozy fireplace, and all of the amenities we could have hoped for... truly above and beyond.
