The Puymangou Manor is ideal for a quiet family holiday in an enchanting and historic setting. It is located at the highest point of the canton in an environment of woods, vineyards and pastures.
The pool area fits harmoniously between the south tower of the manor and a lime alley; it offers a beautiful view towards the Bordeaux and Charente Maritime.
The lunch area, near the north tower, gives you the shade of the trees and gives you another view, north, towards the Charente.
The park is inspired by classical principles and highlights the 17th century buildings with carved charms as well as box and yew trees.
Inside, you enjoy the freshness in summer in a setting both practical, family and majesty loan. A large lounge upstairs and a games room on the ground floor give space for different activities.
One end of the mansion remains private. We occupy it in total discretion and independence (separate entrance, small garden separate courtyard, pool and park entirely reserved for tenants).

The property was above and beyond our expectations. The photos don't properly do the land, house and room service. Just an amazing stay hosted by a lovely couple.

Had a lovely week at Puymangou. 10 of us two families and we enjoyed the property and pool.
The owners were very kind and helpful… They pointed us to a v good vineyard

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay.
Eight of us stayed here as we were all guests at a wedding in a nearby village. The manor was very well presented, very spacious and had nice big tables to sit around to eat both inside and outside. It was lovely to be able to go for a swim. We also amused ourselves by playing ping pong and badminton but we didn't get time to play all the board games on offer. Thierry and his wife were lovely hosts and we would love to come back and stay longer next time.

Beautiful Castle, Beautiful surroundings Wonderful owners who were very helpful The castle was clean, warm & had all the amenities we needed. Un week-end de l'Ascension calme et reposant à l'écart de la fureur du monde
Trois jours très relaxants pour toute la tribu (10 personnes de 7 à 77 ans) dans un lieu chargé d'histoire, rendu chaleureux et confortable par Bénédicte et Thierry, où chacun a pu s'adonner à ses activités préférées, dedans ou dehors. Un grand merci à nos hôtes très réactifs et accommodants !

Stijlvol kasteeltje met prachtige tuin
Staying on the hill in this stylish castle was a great pleasure. The friendly owners were very kind and helpful. The house is comfortable, roomy, elegantly furnished and has a well-equipped kitchen. The garden is beautiful with a nice pool, a BBQ, ping-pong and different spots to sit and relax. The shops in St Aulaye (7 min drive) have everything you need. The area offers good walking or you can visit villages with markets or castles etc.. Bordeaux is just over an hours drive and well worth a trip but apart from that and the night market and mini-golf at Aubeterre, we did not do much as we preferred to stay on the property and enjoy the house and garden.
