Welcome to @TheGulfGetaway an incredible canal-side home built to make memories. You'll enjoy the comfort of a fully equipped home and many outdoor activities. House is within walking distance from bars & restaurants and has quick access to the Gulf of Mexico & nearby islands of Sanibel, Captiva & Cayo Costa by boat.
Centered in a quiet familial neighborhood, the location of the home makes it easy to get around.
1 hr from Ft Myers Airport
The space
Spacious three bedroom two bath home. Large kitchen and an 8-seat dining room set. Heated salt water pool and patio area to enjoy the sun, along with a gas BBQ for grilling.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire home, patio, and backyard with a pool. The home also includes a boat dock. Boat lift for up to 23' boats. We provide rods for bigger boats

Perfect staycation

We are Florida residents and wanted a waterfront home with dockage for a long weekend staycation and could not have been happier! My mother and sister along with myself and my daughter stayed here for three nights and wish we could’ve extended it! The boat lift was such a great bonus and very short idle out to the gulf. Maria was so easy to deal with, answered all of my questions before our stay and even a couple small questions during our stay. The view was fantastic, and the upper deck was a perfect place just to sit and watch the boats go by in the morning with a roll down shade to block the sun in the late afternoon.. The heated saltwater pool was great! So refreshing after a day on the boat. We will for sure be back to stay again.

Family On water Vacation

Perfect house for family escape with grand kids. Dock is perfect for boat and fishing. Pool is excellent. The house is perfect and very well kept. St. James town is sleepy yet very fun. Definetely will return.

Great Stay-cation

We had such a wonderful visit to St James. We went by boat from Port Charlotte and the location was ideal! The house was well equipped and spacious and the heated pool was wonderful after each day of fishing. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect Boat Trip

From the minute we walked in the door, we knew this was the perfect location for our party of 5. College and high school kids spring breaks all aligned this year and we took full advantage! We brought our boat and enjoyed the ease of getting to the open water quickly. Day trips to Cabbage Key, Boca Grande and Captiva ended with gorgeous sunsets by the pool. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was super clean! Thanks to Maria for her quick responses to any questions we had during our stay (which were few and far between!). The girls loved walking to the coffee truck in town each morning while I enjoyed my coffee from the upper deck watching the beautiful eagle go from house to house. A much needed getaway for us. We will be back!!

Beautiful Canal Home

My family of 5 stayed for a week. We rented a boat and used the lift, which was convenient. The house is in a great location for being on the open water and close to restaurants in St James, in a quiet neighborhood, VERY clean and had every amenity we needed. My teenagers swam in the pool and said it was very warm (which is nice in February). The owner was very responsive to all of my questions. I highly recommend staying here!

Little Paradise

From start to finish, it was so easy to work with the host. We had a flawless stay and loved the property, saltwater pool, kayaks, and bikes immensely! The community seems really welcoming and tight-knit. We fell in love with St. James City and are eager to plan our next trip to this property.

White Decorhroom

Suburban & seasonal middle-class neighborhood with little to no natural area for birding, sparsely planted, and no public access to shore. Well-equipped, roomy house, except no bread toaster and scarcity of kitchen and hand-bathroom towels. Bidet does not work. Overall, a very nice house. Very nice heated pool and dock on canal.

Beautiful House

Very clean and nicely furnished. Towels, sheets, pillows, and mattresses were all top notch. The dock has spring lines for easy tie up, or you can use the lift. Quick access to the sound and the gulf. The only suggestion we would make is that it would be nice to have a toaster in the kitchen.

Beautiful Canal home

The home was clean and exactly as described. The pool and dock area is lovely. We rented a boat and thoroughly enjoyed the inter coastal. Maria was communicative about check-in, check-out and recs. We highly recommend. It wasn’t lost on us that Hurricane Ian had damaged a lot of Saint James but this house is in perfect shape and everyone else has made tremendous progress. Definitely felt good to support the local community.
