There were several takeaways nearby, and a cafe but otherwise not much shopping. A small co-op about 15 minutes walk away and a mini sainsburys 20 minutes walk. On the other hand the bus stop was right outside and the tram stop only 5 minutes walk so easy to get to the city centre.
But the key problem was communication with the owners. It came across as if it was all automated and they did not really care. I tried to find out about check in as sometimes samller places close check in early. No luck. They just kept saying check in after 3pm. As it turns out it is automated check in, but they didn't say that either .
Also the way that they charged you a deposit - but not until after you had booked was a total rip off.
The apartment was fine, but I don't think i'll be doing business with these characters again.
