This is a pub. The rooms are accessed via steep stairs. It is a shared bathroom which is only adequate. The locals in the bar are intimidating unless you like the football crowd type of person. The bar was busy every night with proper drinkers. The smell of cannabis in the outside areas was prevalent. If you like the Tv series ‘shameless’ you would be right at home here. Saying that I would return if I was ever in the area but it’s not for everyone

This is a very old pub in an old industrial area and old coal mine only community pub left most close in area by1973 Much used bu Man/U supporters who area up for redeveloping so hope pub survives A harty breakfast can be had bar is keg ales only good value for money handy bus to Mancester or via Eccels and tram

Great value for money

Very clean and welcoming. Excellent value for money and a wonderful full English breakfast with tea for ÂŁ5! I would definitely recommend staying here as I will certainly be back.

The staff were warm and welcoming. The room was clean with crisp white sheets.They had taken into consideration that both myself and my son have problems with stairs and put us on the first floor instead of further up. There is no ground floor as it is over a pub. They had provided earplugs in case of any excess noise. They were not needed as it was not a rowdy pub. Considering the price I thought it was excellent value and would book again. It is not the Ritz but you would not get a room for this price perhaps a chair in the corner. I have seen some of the negative reviews and did not find any problems.

GĂŒnstig und lebhaft

Pub liegt mitten im Industriegebiet. Das er trotzdem an beiden Abenden voll war spricht fĂŒr seine Beliebtheit. Gemischtes Publikum. Es kann auch unangenehm laut im Pub werden. Oben auf den Zimmern (2. OG) war allerdings kaum was zu hören und ich konnte gut schlafen obwohl ich einen sehr leichten Schlaf habe. Einziges Manko fĂŒr mich war das Gemeinschafts-Bad auf dem Stockwerk

Nice place to stay on a budget. Clean but there are shared areas such as bathroom and shower. Any messy bits were caused by other guests. Comfy bed. Easily accessible for our late night! Friendly staff! Overall a decent place to stay. Nothing fancy. Worth the money!
