Come and play in the Arkansas River valley or ski at Monarch and stay at Bella Vista Salida, a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with breathtaking mountain views and only minutes from downtown Salida and less than 30 minutes to Monarch Mountain and just minutes away from some of the finest recreation on the planet.

Bella Vista Salida is expertly furnished in a contemporary southwestern style and has afully equipped gourmet kitchen, laundry/mud room with washer/dryer, front and rear outdoor patios with outdoor grill. Did we mention the stunning mountain views?

Skiing, biking, hiking, gold medal fly fishing, arts, dining, music, festivals, world class whitewater, hunting and more are all right here to enjoy. Or just sit and relax on the patio. We are just 7 minutes from downtown Salida, 25 minutes from fantastic skiing at Monarch Mountain, 13 minutes from the Arkansas River (Stone Bridge access), 26 minutes to Mt Princeton Hot Springs, 21 minutes to Brown's Canyon (Hecla Junction access). There is plenty of room for the raft/snow machine trailer so bring the toys (no livestock trailers please)!

Salida is a wonderful old mining town with a vibrant arts and music scene and a growing number of local craft breweries and distilleries. Home to FIBark, America's oldest and boldest whitewater festival, each June and numerous other festivals throughout the year, Salida is a great vacation destination. Did we mention the weather? The weather is awesome in Salida nearly all the time.

Bella Vista Salida is in Pinion Hills, just outside Salida. We are only 3 hours (167 miles) from Denver International Airport and 2:15 (109 miles) from the Colorado Springs Airport. You don't even have to drive over a high mountain pass to get here!

Bella Vista Salida's sleeping arrangements include: a spacious master suite with king bed and full bath with spa tub; a queen bedroom, and a bunk room with one full size bed and twin over full size futon bunkbed. There is a spacious second full bath off the hallway.

You will find a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with everything you will need but the food! Relax on the front patio with panoramic views of the Sawatch and Sangre de Cristo mountains. Complete with outdoor grill.

Indoor garage parking for one car is available and there is plenty of room in the driveway for up to 3 other vehicles and a couple of raft/snow machine trailers.

Bella Vista Salida was fully renovated in Sept 2017 with all new flooring, paint, door hardware, lighting, appliances, and all new furniture. This is a green, solar powered SMART home with quiet, comfortable hydronic baseboard heating.

We loved our stay here! We have a family of 6 with 4 grown kiddos & there was plenty of room & space. The beds were comfy, the couch was large enough for everyone to hang out & the dining room table was perfect for games & eating. It was so clean & felt homey. One of the best things was the view. We had such a fantastic weekend here! The house was beautiful, spacious, and clean, and the views were spectacular. Great birdwatching, too! It was close to town and good hikes, but one day we stayed in and around the house all day because it was so comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again then next time I'm in Salida!

Amazing Mountain Views

We stayed on a hot June weekend. Tons of space in the house with beds and bathrooms. No air conditioning so evening temps in the house were very warm, but cooled off overnight.Probably the most well stocked kitchen we have ever seen at VRBO home.

We had a nice weekend stay here. The house is in perfect order with everything you need. It’s a quick trip down to town, but we enjoyed the retreat up the hill for the quiet evenings.

Annual Girls Trip

We are a group of 6 Moms who fly out to Salida to escape our real lives. (I work for Monarch, so we go up to the mountain). The house had the most incredible views of the mountains, everything you could possibly need, and plenty of space. It was quiet, quaint and pretty centrally located to everywhere you needed to go. The owners were quick to respond and available for anything we needed. You wont regret booking this home.

Bella Vista is 100% worth booking.

The property was clean and very spacious. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. They did not skimp on pillows or linens. There are thermostats in every room. The heaters are on the base boards so the floors are warm in the winter months. I cannot fine anything bad to say about the property. Don was very hospitable and a great host.

Wonderful Friend Reunion

The location was wonderfully peaceful and scenic. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and lightning shows from the patio and living room. Very comfortable for 6 adults. Gave 4 stars on “accuracy of listing” because the online photos don’t do the place justice. I was worried the living room was a dark space (and almost didn’t consider this home) but it was bright and cheerful. Could use a nightlight and hairdryer in the master bath but overall very well stocked home.

Perfect Place for 3 Generations

This beautiful property had everything we could have wanted or needed for our stay in Salida. We had our two kiddos and my in laws with us and enjoyed the stocked kitchen and cozy living areas whenever we were not out and about at Monarch or in the city. We had a very comfortable stay and would love to come back!

Clean and lovely home close to Salida

Beautiful home in a great location - everything was perfect, they even had a Christmas tree! We (6 adults) had a wonderful time: home cooked meals in the well appointed kitchen, a short drive to fantastic skiing at Monarch, and cozy fires in the wood-burning fireplace. Our only (extremely minor) complaint is that the lighting in the kitchen is too bright and harsh. But truly, everything was perfect - beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for our family with 4 adult “children” to hang out, play games, watch TV, and enjoy the fire. The views from the front window and primary bedroom were incredible.

Wonderful vacation stay!

We had a great time in this beautiful home for our girl's getaway! The location is just a few minutes from downtown Salida but a world away in feeling. It was so quiet and peaceful at night and the views from the front porch were amazing. The house is spacious, with a very well stocked kitchen. I especially appreciated being able to use the garage to pull in my car at night. We all agreed that we would definitely come back for another stay in the future! Eileen S.

This place was absolutely fantastic. They had everything you could need from blankets to 3 different coffee makers to insta pots. The beds were beyond comfortable and the location is spot on. The view of the mountains is a 360 view. The place for seven of us very comfortable and they were great hosts. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! We will be back!

Amazing Home

We had an amazing vacation in this very clean and well stocked home! The location was perfect for enjoying the town in the evenings after skiing all day at Monarch. We loved watching the sunset from the front porch and visiting around the fire. This was one of our best VRBO experiences!
