Condo the Biker on the Arkansas river in the heart of Salida's Historic District

This luxurious 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bath high end Condo "the Biker" is located in the heart of Salida's Historic District. Just a few steps from the Arkansas river, next to the boat ramp and the SteamPlant Event Center (very convenient if you are attending a wedding or other event!) and close to the many Salida restaurants (the Boathouse restaurant is next door, Sweeties bakery and The Biker and the Baker are across the street, all within a short 30-second walk!), shops, galleries, river park etc. Enjoy all the outdoors activities like biking, hiking, kayaking, rafting, tubing, fishing, zip lining, jeep rides and in the winter season skiing and tubing at the Monarch ski area (just a short 25-minute ride), snowmobiling and much more.
Enjoy the mountain views from the balcony (on the sunny side of the building!) or from the rooftop patio with a grill and extra seating area.
The two spacious master suites (one with a king bed, one with a queen bed) each have a separate bathroom, a large walk-in closet and each has an extra flat screen TV.
The River Side Park and River walk are within a 1-minute walk. There is covered parking for one car in the basement (use parking space "F", not suitable for large trucks!). Ski-lockers located in the garage, use the locker labelled "F".

The Biker is conveniently located within walking distance of Salida's evening entertainment. A couple of reviews mentioned hearing music at night time from local establishments. I only heard music one of the six nights and that was because I had my bedroom window cracked for fresh air. The Biker is as pictured and described in the listing. It is very secure as is the parking inside the building. It is an elevator building that helps when carrying a lot of luggage. Great views with sunset easily enjoyed from the balcony. There is a deck on top of the building that can be accessed by all tenants and it has a 4 burner weber grill, a faucet and sink for dish clean-up and a table with four chairs for dining. There is a game room next to the elevator that has table tennis and a foosball table. The condo itself is clean and very nice. the room with the king sized bed had a little extra room where you can work-out and a big walk-in closet to store your suitcases. The Hosts are GREAT! We had a problem with the blender and we just bought a new one and the Hosts reimbursed us immediately. The oven is a little tricky so read the owners manual that is in the drawer under the living room TV. We kept turning it off when we turned off the timer. Finally, the inbuilding parking is really a plus. We are planning on renting this condo again next year.

This was one of the best places we have stayed. The location was perfect to hang out and enjoy downtown Salida and to go explore the area. Highly recommend. The place itself was super comfy and made our Xmas visit so much more wonderful.

We love this building. We have stayed in this unit 2 times. The hosts are very accommodating. The location can’t be beat. Walk to restaurants and shopping. Very clean and fully stocked kitchen.

Gem of a stay

I love staying at "the Biker" condo. This was my third year in a row and I'll definitely be back. It's a cozy spot right in the heart of downtown Salida. The owners are super pleasant and the condo has all the amenities you would need.

We has a wonderful Christmas visit at this condo in Salido. The location was right by the river and the downtown district. We walked everywhere. The property was in great condition. We loved using the kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. We also enjoyed the huge deck.

Cute Space, Great Location, Comfortable Beds

This condo is located right in the heart of downtown historic Salida. Just a few steps away are several restaurants (Boathouse Cantina | Victoria Tavern | Biker & Baker | Sweeties) and shops, as well as the Arkansas River. It is the perfect size for 2-4 people. One room has a queen bed, the other a king bed. Both are incredibly comfortable, you will get a great nights sleep. The whole unit was clean, especially the bathrooms (floor is a little cold in the winter, so bring slippers) and the showers have great water pressure and plenty of hot water. There is a long balcony off the living room | dining room with a view of mountains in the distance that would be great for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, but we didn't sit out as it was in the 30's during our stay. The tv service is YouTube, so you don't get local channels, but there were a lot of other shows you can watch. The owners | managers communicated all the information needed to access the building and unit in advance of our stay. We felt safe both in the building and the condo. We'll definitely consider staying here again when visiting Salida.

We have made this an annual visit. Great location, very clean. We love having coffee on the balcony in the mornings and the kitchen is stocked with everything we need to be comfortable and make meals. Also many great restaurants in walking distance!
