Glebe House - a beautiful country home
Glebe House is a gorgeous place to stay with family & friends. It is a beautifully proportioned and sunny 4 bedroom house with a stylish design. It has a stunning entrance hall, huge open plan kitchen and a utility room. Two bedrooms have their own ensuite.
There is fantastic walking around, lovely pubs and great places nearby to visit including Salisbury, Stonehenge, Longleat Safari park, many historical sites and beaches within the hour.
The house boasts a large open plan kitchen with dining table and a breakfast bar to sit at when drinking your morning coffee or keeping the cook company. A De Longhi coffee machine is provided.
There's a large sitting room with 3 sofas and wood burner - plenty of space to relax and put your feet up or enjoy playing games with friends & family. A starter basket of wood & kindling will be provided.
The garden is contained so safe for children and dogs. It's south facing so benefits from sunshine all day! There's a swing seat in the garden & an old but functionable pool table in the garage which you are welcome to use. There is also a utility room for those muddy boots.
Neighbouring houses are close. We live in a lovely and friendly village but we do ask noise to be kept to an absolute minimum after 10pm and all music to be turned off. It's amazing how it travels.
This is the perfect house for a family get together and a relaxing break.
The house has 4 bedrooms: 1 king size bed 1 small double bed and 2 rooms with zip&link beds which can either be a super king or 2 full size singles. We also have access to 2 guest beds which have proper pocket sprung mattresses. There is an additional fee of ÂŁ20 per bed per night of stay.
All in all the house sleeps 7 very comfortably (8 if youâre happy with 2 in a small double). It can sleep up to 10 by arrangement.
When you arrive there is a comprehensive welcome book with plenty of information about the house and maps with highlighted routes of some of the amazing walks in the surrounding area. We are very lucky to have a butcher, baker and a little supermarket within 5 minutes of the house.
Biking is also great in the area and though Grovely woods. If you want to bring your bikes with you then you are welcome to keep them in the garage.
We can arrange a hot tub subject to availability, please enquire if you'd like this option. Prices start at ÂŁ210 for 2 nights. Please note this is subject to availability. If the hot tub is an absolute key requirement for your stay please send us an enquiry first so we can just confirm.
We will consider well behaved pets. There is a flat rate of ÂŁ25 per pet.
Any questions you have feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer them. They can be about the area, places you might want to visit, the best pubs, I 'm happy to share my local knowledge and ensure you have the best stay you could ask for.

We are new to HomeAway and to give you an indication of what our previous guests have said here are a few reviews that we have been given.
Dave - "Fantastic home in a fantastic location. Would definitely stay here again"
Rhianna - "What a gorgeous house, even better than the photos! We went for a girly weekend and it was perfect. Thereâs plenty of room and the bedrooms are lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped, the lounge is very comfy and the garden (not photographed) is great, perfect for a summerâs evening barbecue. Victoria was very helpful, we had all the information we needed and the welcome folder (which contained information about the local area) was very useful. We will be back!"
Paul - "This is a first class property with modern amenities and good access to Salisbury and the surrounding countryside. No doubt about good value and responsive hosts."
Lyubomir - "We've been staying in the house for a third time now and again everything was perfect. Very clean and cosy. Highly recommend it"
Jo - "Amazing - what a find. This home is fantastic, spacious, perfect weekend getaway with the family. Close to Stonehenge and Avebury The kids loved playing in the enclosed garden a true sun trap Highly highly recommend"
Kathleen - "This is a beautiful house, really tastefully refurbished throughout; the kind of house you walk into and say, "Wow!" We spent the weekend 'arguing' over which aspects we would most like to steal for our own houses! The kitchen/dining room is a fabulous communal space. We were sad it was summer and we had no excuse to use the log burner but we did enjoy the garden. Victoria gave us really clear info prior to check in. The system of the key safe for check in worked really well and we instantly felt at home. There was a helpful folder of info about the house and area. We had a fabulous stay and the only downside was it was too short!!"
Beautiful, well-appointed and comfortable house perfectly located for visiting Salisbury and surrounding villages. Secure garden for our dog and walks from the front door.
The owners provide many amenities which make your stay extra easy and pleasant.
The house is very clean and linens and towels are fresh and new.
We cooked several full dinners and the supplies provided made that possible.
The house and yard are spacious for easy use.
Good heating, wifi and parking access.
We loved the house and all the space that it provided. The beds were all comfortable. The kitchen had a lot of utensils and we could make use of the coffee machine which was very much appreciated. There was quite a lot of farm traffic and we could hear at times, the trains. The rooks had taken up residence on the nearby trees so were noisy at times - all part of being in the country.
We booked the house to be near our son-in-lawâs parents for our granddaughterâs first Christmas. Our party consisted of 6 adults, 2 dogs and one 5 week old little girl. The house is a lovely size with large, communal rooms, perfect for a gathering, with space to retreat if necessary! The property has been perfectly furnished - the beds are so comfy. What really blew me away was the attention to detail in the provision of things like enough dishwasher tablets; washing powder; cooking oil etc. The knives were sharp and the cooking utensils, pots and pans were of a size that catered for a house with a potential large occupancy. All the little things that if you donât have them, make staying elsewhere a real bugbear. I know I may sound a little sad, but the fact that there was rinse aid and salt for the dishwasher indicated that these people really knowhow to host. I have lost count of the times we have stayed somewhere and the old dishwasher lights are flashing for such. Victoria was a dream to deal with and answered my questions and queries promptly and satisfactorily. The garden is secure and I should imagine it is lovely in summer. The area is perfect for dog walking and there is a utility area to dry the dogs off on returning to the property. I would thoroughly recommend this property if you are looking to stay in the area.
