We loved property, rooms were lovely common areas very pleasant, couldnt use bin in bathroom, lid wouldnt work ,picked it up and plastic bottom fell off, nobody came in to empty bins or check bathroom, i know it was only 3 nights but even so, dissapointed no cooked breakfast . Would stay there again
I booked the hotel on behalf of my parents over the Christmas period. The staff could not have been more helpful.My folks asked to move room twice (new mattress was too firm in the first one and the shower ' didn't work' in the second). Turns out my folks were not quite understanding the way the controls on the shower worked but rather than explain (again) the manager moved them. He was keen that they were shown respect and not embarrassed by their lack of understanding, so never knew it was their fault. Well done team! And thank you!
The window glazing is not suitable enough to block the sound from the very busy road outside. The bathroom light would not turn off so was on all night.
The restaurant was ill prepared to cater for people with gluten allergies, I was told that the potato tots were gluten free but upon eating them it was apparent that they had been cooked in the same fryer as gluten containing items as I had a reaction to them which added to the uncomfortable nights sleep.
Seemed like a good choice for visiting Stonehenge. However, without a car, it was a bit in the sticks. But it was an economical choice, even with the 13 pound charge from the train station. The other issue I had, and raised with the staff was, without any businesses around the hotel other than a gas station, there should have been some accommodation for purchasing sundries. Also, there was no other choice than ordering a full breakfast, as I asked to buy just tea and toast, which wasn't possible. This, added to the fact that there was no ability to make coffee or tea in our room. This was a real shortcoming by the hotel, and I told them so.
