Did not get the room I paid for!

When I arrived, I did not get the room that I paid for. This property was not even the Hampton Inn, but was under construction to become Spark. I did not know about the construction until I arrived. The first thing I was told is that I could cancel for a full refund. It was 10 pm when I arrived, so that was not an option.

The room itself was clean. The people were noisy on the floor above us and all in the hallway on our actual floor. We checked in around 9 pm and the noise didn’t stop til around midnight to 1 am or so. This includes some kind of alarm or beeping in the hallway. People screaming, yelling and laughing in the hallway, slamming doors, and a dog barking. I booked the hotel for my family with I not knowing they were renovating so in the back there was construction debris, old matresses piled up etc. The lobby was completely closed. No breakfast except “to go” jt was just packages or tea and coffee and water. I wasn’t able to checkout in the morning because their systems were down due to moving their computers to a small office where we had to checkout.

We had ants in the room. 2 am firealarm went off due to electrical issue. Had to get out and sit in car for a while. Renovations going on,but was misleading that I booked it as Hampton Inn and was renamed. Also quality did not match up to a Hampton Inn hotel

I think the girl at the desk was awesome she was very friendly. Considering the hotel was under construction and the lobby was super hot no pool or exercise room or breakfast area we were well taken care of. The room was really nice very clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again the next time im in the area.

It is not the Hampton Inn any more. It is Spark by Hilton. We spent alot of time driving up and down the street that the hotel is on, looking fof the Hampton Inn, and not being able to find it. Expedia needs to update this. They also should say that the hotel is being renovated so many features were not available. No breakfast.

No notification that property was being remodel when booking reservations. No mention pool was closed either. Breakfast was grab and go and 2 out of 3 days coffee had grounds and had to mention to the staff. Room was nice and clean and staff was friendly. Will stay again, things should have improve after remodel is done.

Nobody indicated that the hotel was going through a major remodeling. There was dust everywhere, no dining room for breakfast service. There is no front desk and you must access the property through an emergency exit. Call before making a reservation.

The hotel was supposed to be a Hampton Inn but when we arrived it was a Spark Hotel that was under active construction changing from a Hampton Inn. The listing never mentioned construction. The staff was friendly but the room was freshly painted the lanps still had the plastic on them and the hot water never did get hot enough to take a comfortable shower.

Staff was great but the hotel was under construction and I was not notified through hotels.com . We booked this with several friends and with the gym , pool and lobby was closed there were no place to hang out with friends except the rooms.

We were NOT notified prior to arrival date that the Hampton we booked was being renovated into a Spark hotel nor that the ADA room we requested was not available. We left home at 9 am and did not see the email that was sent at 11:30 am until we had already arrived at the hotel which was I. A state of disarray. Front door was not usable and wheelchair would not fit through side door. Had to make other hotel reservations which cost us substantially more. Will not EVER use Expedia again.
