Fantastic chalet

Our group of family and friends had a wonderful weekend in the mountains. This house was perfect for our group, with comfy beds and a nice, big gathering area. The hot tub was a hit with the kids. Our hosts were so accommodating and kind. We’d love to come back someday.

Nous avons séjourné au chalet marmotte avec nos enfants, nos cousins et leurs enfants. Tout le monde a adoré le chalet, son agencement (nous n’étions pas les uns sur les autres), son emplacement, et surtout qu’il soit si bien équipé (linge de lit confortable, vaisselle, jeux, vélos, jacuzzi, barbecue…). L’accueil par la concierge Fanny a été très bien géré, et elle s’est montrée très disponible et à l’écoute. Nous étions 14 et le chalet a fait l’unanimité.

Great Well Equiped Chalet

Great base for walking in the summer or easy short drive to three ski lifts in the winter. Well equipped chalet, ideal for groups/large families. Amazing views of the mountains from the hot tub!

Lovely Chalet near Samoens

A beautiful chalet with easy access to Morillon and Samoens. Well maintained and a well thought out chalet with great space for a number of families. The hot tub was a hit with our teenage daughters.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Family and friends totalling 11. The chalet was beautiful, very clean and perfectly laid out. No British TV but we relaxed and watched a few films via our laptop/amazon prime/netflix. The hot tub was a bonus and just perfect to chill at the end of the day. The twin bed on the upper landing worked well for our teen and felt more discrete that I expected. The twin downstairs didn't have a window but would be fine for smaller children. Quick drive to Samoans although the lift queue in the morning for HT was the longest I've ever experienced, sometime an hour before getting up to 1600, however parking a little later seemed fine for family members who had later lessons and there are other options such as Vercland and Morillion. Skiing over to Morillion and Les Corroz were I think our favourite, made Flaine a couple of times and took the 14k blue slope back to Sixt (being HT had its tricky/icy bits). Delightful restaurant at the bottom of Vercland (this red can be a little tricky for those who prefer a blue) and closest to the chalet if you're not storing skis back at the shop. We used Extreme Glisses ski hire in Samoans which was great for overnight storage. Perfect stay in a beautifully laid out and furnished chalet, we would love to return again sometime soon x

We chose to book this property based on price, description and location. I assume this is the criteria that most people base their bookings on. In the past we have been disappointed one way or another. This was not the case with Chalet Marmotte. The booking process was very straight forward and there was also a choice to pay in your preferred currency. The damage deposit was refunded promptly and without question (even though we had a couple of minor "accidents" with some lively wine glasses. The arrival time was agreed with the Concierge and upon arrival we were welcomed and given a very comprehensive introduction to the chalet and it's equipment. The chalet was well presented and well maintained. We found that everything described in the advert was present and in good working order. Simple things like crockery and cuttlery were plentiful and it is detail like this that makes the full package for us. There was also a good bottle of champagne presented to us on arrival and a hamper of local produce delivered to us during the week, both great touches. The chalet itself is well laid out and the living space creates a great social atmosphere whether you are cooking in the kitchen or relaxing in front of the burner. In the ten years we have been snowboarding, we have to say that this was the best chalet we have stayed in.

Great chalet, beautiful and well equipped (from the kitchen accessories through the entertainment equipment, children's toys and more...) The space is well designed for big families and perfect for family vacation. Location is great with lots of activities near by and lovely view. The owner is very nice and always available for any issue. Highly recommended!!

Het verblijf in deze woning was op zich OK. Het is een ruime woning, maar een aantal dingen zijn zwaar verouderd/slecht. De vaatwasser werkte alleen in de drie uur durende eco stand. En dan alleen als je hem na heel veel proberen aan kreeg....De vriezer was niet koud genoeg, waardoor ijs smolt, de wasdroger maakte een vreselijke herrie en was heel oud. Alles bij elkaar wel jammer. De omgeving is prachtig, maar in de zomer zijn helaas maar zeer weinig bergbanen geopend. Wel jammer als je met twee kleine kinderen op vakantie bent.

Superbe séjour !

Séjour parfait dans ce chalet incroyable ! Propre et décoré avec goût nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis chez nous. Conçu pour passer de super moments en groupe mais aussi en respectant l’intimité de chacun , nous nous sommes régalés dans le jardin autour d’un barbecue avec la vue ensoleillee du Criou.

Une semaine de pur plaisir

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans le chalet, il est tres bien situé, avec une jolie vue sur la montagne. Il est très bien équipé, nous n'avons rien a redire. Gemütliches Chalet

Gemütliches, sehr liebevoll dekoriertes Haus, für eine größere Gruppe perfekt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben den Urlaub genossen. Der Whirlpool war leider defekt und konnte trotz Bemühungen der Concierge nicht repariert werden. Wir haben zwar eine Erstattung erhalten, hätten uns aber gewünscht, dass man im Vorfeld die Funktionsfähigkeit gecheckt hätte. Man muss zudem wissen, dass ein Schlafraum im Erdgeschoss keine Fenster hat. Der Skibus ist fußläufig erreichbar, so dass man sich ein ein paar Minuten im Skigebiet befindet. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Très beau sejoir

Nous avons passé de belles vacances dans ce chalet. Tout était très propre et très bien décoré. Le chalet est aussi très bien équipé. Le jacuzzi appréciable et le jardin bien entretenu. Il faut quand elle noté que l’emplacement est un peu loin du centre de Samoens et que le chalet est mitoyen avec un autre appartement. Merci à Fanny pour son accueil parfait.
