Not much to dislike. The hotel is very quaint, and in an excellent location. Check in was great, even gave us our room a couple of hours early. We ate at Fino restaurant our last night, and are so glad we did. Although we did not have a problem, I could see the toilet and shower being tight for a larger person.

It was pleasant enough. Since it is an older building you need to be ok with a tiny and old elevater. Bed was noisy and springy so could feel every movement. Also noisy neighborhood.

Very neat old hotel with a lot of charm. Staff were great! Carpet in lobby needs to be replaced but nice seating area. Being an old hotel don’t expect a lot of amenities. Wish the ceiling fan worked better. Room was stuffy and window being open helped but the had noise of the homeless in the alley. Knew ahead there was not ac, just wished there was a better fan.

The location of the hotel was excellent. It was close to the Union Square, tour buses, cable cars, and restaurants.

Wonderful place

Pros: Cleanliness, staff, central location.
Cons: Nothing, in our estimation.
We stayed five nights here, and we couldn't have been happier. Our room was wonderful, clean. The staff was always helpful, always courteous, always there for you. It was close to buses, BART, cable car.
