The Space:
Villa Alegre is a 2 story resort villa located within the exclusive Fairways Community in Dorado Beach. This property has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, central A/C throughout the villa, a brand new extra-large kitchen, full power generator, and a grand room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking lush tropical gardens and the Dorado Beach Resort Grounds. The amenities include a 4-person golf cart, pool, tennis court, 24-hour security, walking, and bike trails, and beaches access.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP – THIS PROPERTY DOES NOT OFFER ACCESS TO THE DORADO BEACH RESORT AMENITIES NOR ACCESS TO PURCHASE THE RESORT'S SHORT TERM MEMBERSHIP.
Guests will have access to all of the Fairways' Community amenities (pool and tennis courts) and will be able to access the beach with the golf cart that is included.
IMPORTANT NOTE
This property is strictly for a maximum occupancy of 8 adults/children. This includes visits. Max occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property. If violated $200 will be charged.
Parties and gatherings are not permitted. No loud music or parties are allowed. If we receive notification of a complaint from the administration or neighbors this will result in immediate cancellation or expulsion. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep noise levels down during these hours out of respect to the neighbors.
CAMERA DISCLAIMER: Villa Alegre has a camera security system on the exterior of the property. Cameras are constantly monitored in order to assure the safety and status of the property.
BACKUP GENERATOR: Villa Alegre has a backup generator that powers the entire property automatically in case power goes out.
LIVING AREAS
Villa Alegre has a large living room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the wrap-around terrace, tropical gardens and the resort. The living room includes an 8 person dining table, living area, and family area with a large 65-inch flat screen TV and soundbar.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Villa Alegre sleeps up to 8 adults in 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV, spacious bathroom with his and hers sink, and a large walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom has a king bed, large flat screen TV, and a walk-in closet. The third bedroom has 2 full beds with a large flat screen TV. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom share a bathroom on the 2nd floor. There is also a 2nd floor bathroom with a shower that can be assigned to one of the upper level bedrooms.
PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):
We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.
KITCHEN
The centerpiece of Villa Alegre is its recently renovated expansive kitchen. The kitchen has an oversized counter with seating for 8. All appliances are high end and the layout is perfect for families that enjoy socializing in the kitchen area. The kitchen overlooks the Great Room and the wraparound terrace.
GETTING AROUND & PARKING
The property includes parking for up to two (2) vehicles.
Renting a car is a must when staying in Dorado. You will need it to move around to nearby restaurants, shops, and beaches as well as to explore the rest of the island.
LOCATION
Villa Alegre is located inside the Dorado Beach Resort in Dorado, Puerto Rico. This community is famous for its gorgeous tropical grounds and beautiful beach. This is a safe and gated community that is great for families and anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation in the tropics. Villa Dorada is a 40-minute drive from San Juan and the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport.
Besides enjoying the beautiful villa and all amenities on offer, there are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites:
Explore the local culinary scene with everything from local Puerto Rican food to excellent Italian and Mexican options.
Road trip to the Cerro Gordo Public Beach or walk down the shore to Dorado Public Beaches. Both of these are long sandy beaches which are well protected from swell and are a 5-minute drive from the villa.
Explore the Camuy Caves – a huge cave system about an hour drive away that is home to the third-longest underwater river in the world.
Spend a day in Old San Juan, a 30 min drive away and the oldest city in all of the US.

STARTER AMENITIES
At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.
All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.
We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:
- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)
- 3 garbage bags
- 1 roll of paper towels
- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)
- 1 dish soap
- 1 dish sponge
- A small amount of laundry detergent
Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.
Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.
HOUSE RULES
RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.
NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.
UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 8 adults/children at all times, including visitors.
OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.
TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.
TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.
SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.
If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.
If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.
Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.
TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.
Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.
