It was walkable to Morro Bay rock, restaurants and shops. However I was unable to get the downstairs room I had booked and we had to walk up and down stairs to get to room. We had booked a queen bed with patio and ended up an upstairs room with a double bed and dirty sheets, No one is available after they close at 5pm and no one is there to check out at 8am.

Two day getaway

I’ve stayed at the Bayview before, nice place, close to restaurants on the Embarcadero. My dog likes it too. The only problem I had was that I couldn’t get ice after 1700, it was locked up. I made sure that I got two buckets the next day.

Amazing location. Right across the street from the water. Great places to eat. View of the ocean and Morro rock. The room, well… The room was on the second floor. It had some soft spots on the floor and it was outdated and a little dirty. Only one room cleaning available per stay. Better that sleeping in your car.

This place is pretty bare bones. No Kleenex, no ice bucket, no drawers, no closet. 132 sq ft. No light in the shower.Had to go down to the office to ask for more coffee etc not filthy but not super clean. It did have a pretty nice bed if you like firm temperpedic. it IS conveniently located and walking distance to many fine restaurants and the free cinnamon rolls are pretty damn good but if I were to go back to Morro Bay I would try someplace different

Not What I Expected. Disappointing Stay. The view was lovely, but that’s where the charm ended. The photos online were misleading. What looked sleek and modern turned out to be shabby and neglected. The room reeked of cheap disinfectant (think nursing home vibes), and there was no closet, just a random bar and shelf. The bathroom vent was clogged with lint, which isn’t ideal for someone with asthma. The manager handed me a vacuum to clean it myself. So... service? Beware of paying upfront; I did, and I was told there were no refunds, even after I complained. At least I didn’t get bed bugs, so that’s a win?

It’s not for everybody, but the staff was great. Older small room. But price and location fit the bill. I’d stay again. We’re not to picky on rooms as long as they are clean. Picture is my wife putting the drape back on the rod that was unhooked. Very minor issue we found humorous.

The man that runs this property is a very sweet and friendly gentleman, eager to make sure each guest is happy, comfortable, and treated with respect. He seems to truly care about each and every guest through his door, a rarity in this day and age. Guests aren't just a number here and that proved he has great customer service here. Lovely sitting area out front!

Unfortunately the power went out and there was no ventilation in the room. Also there was an alarm goin off from the power outage kept us up all night . Theses things happen but it was a terrible experience. Other than that only complaint was hotel was a bit outdated , small , and dirty.
