Any dates shown on the calendar are available. Please proceed with booking! There are two ceiling fans to cool you off. I like to open the windows at night to cool things down and then leave the doors closed during the day! We have salt, pepper seasonings, Spices and Condiments to make your stay more enjoyable! We all trust Restaurants to keep our food and condiments clean! I trust You! This is going to be a very relaxing time for you! In order to turn on the ceiling fans you must turn on the light switch and turn on the light on the remote. The light brightness has three settings on the remote! Any dates shown on the calendar are available. Please proceed with booking!
When checking out, please turn off all the lights! Would you please come and see us again?

Check in is at 4 pm. Checkout is at 11am.

A 99 cent store is located 1.5 miles away on Grand Avenue. A play ground is just a four minute walk the the southeast. There are three restaurants within walking distance. Old Juan's Cantina located on the corner of Pier Avenue and Highway 1. Rock and Roll Diner On highway 1 just south of Pier Avenue. A burger Place on Pier Avenue which you will see as you walk to the beach. A visitors center (closed during Corona Virus Sorry!) is located across the street with programs and exhibits. The visitors center keeps track of wildlife sightings and has information about this area. Ask how to identify the poison oak that grows in this area.

There are four Public restrooms nearby. One is in a campground on the right across the bridge o Airpark Dr. There is one at the end of Pier Avenue on the right. There is one across the street near the visitors center. You will pass one on the far side of the camp ground on the other side of Pier Avenue when you are taking the Nature Trail!

In between the 100 and 200 buildings there is a Picnic Area with gas BBQ' and picnic tables that you can use!. A map of the complex is taped to the outside granite counter at the office to help you locate this!

This is a Bonfire Friendly Beach. As you walk down Pier Avenue toward the Beach you will see places that sell Wood!! Generally People are very friendly and will allow you to enjoy their Bonfire for a while. They may give it to you if they leave!

No fishing license is required to fish off the Pismo Beach Pier. So you can take the kids! However if you plan to fish from the shoreline or from a boat, a license is necessary. Also, if you are planning to park in the pier parking lot between the hours of 11:00 pm and 4:00 am in order to fish, you will need a parking pass, obtainable in the lobby of the Pismo Police Station at 1000 Bello Street.

One of our favorites is the Ventana Grill (2575 California Highway 1, Pismo Beach, CA 93449) (Ph 805 773-0000) It has a great elevated view of the ocean with regular sightings of dolphins, otters, whales. If you would like to visit Pismo Beach the Cool Cat Café (198 Pomeroy Ave, Pismo Beach Ph 805 773 1020) has great food and generally no lines. This is why the locals come here! Go to Monarch Grove Wine Tasting Room, Ph 805 709-4875, 180 Highway 1, Grover Beach, one mile away, tell Joe that you are staying here and get 2 for 1 wine tasting!

There are three restaurants within walking distance! Old Juan's Cantina at the corner of Pier Avenue and high way 1. The Rock and Roll Dinner on 1300 Railroad St. There is a Restaurant on the right hand side of Pier Avenue as you walked toward the each. There are seven Restaurants at the corner of Highway 1 and Pier Avenue about 1.4 miles away! There is a very pleasant Boardwalk across the parking lot from Finns Restaurant on Grand avenue. It is one mile away. The Boardwalk starts on the other side of the Public Restrooms!

The Monarch Butterfly's winter here at 399 S. Dolliver St. Grover Beach, Ca Ph 800 443-7778. Madonna Inn, 100 Madonna Rd, San Luis Obispo, Ca 93401 (Ph 805 543-3000) (The downstairs Men's bathroom is listed on TV as one of the best 20 Bathrooms in the Unites States!) Mr. Madonna purchased the Marble Staircase, which provides access to the gift shop, from Mr. Hearst when Mr. Hearst needed money during the Great Depression) and Hearst Castle, 750 Hearst Castle Road, San Simeon, CA 93452 (Ph 800 444-4445) is also great! Enjoy!

This morning I had a great time on the Nature Walk. Across Pier Avenue, to the East of the Bridge is the trailhead! As you walk past the bridge take a look in the water on your left. Sometimes you can see a school of white carp about 2.5 feet long! The head of the Nature Trail is just past the bridge on the left! The Nature trail has views of the Lake and the trees form a canopy over it and there is plenty of other vegetation. If it was not for the urban noise you would think that you are in a temperate rain forest! I saw two baby rabbits scurrying across the trail! You can here the splashes of the turtles, who have crawled up onto the branches that come out the water, escaping as they hear you approach. On rare occasions, if you are quiet, you can sneak up on them and see them! These are Pacific Turtles. It is an exciting experience to see the turtles and to feed the ducks on the lake next to us! Once in a while you may see a deer or coyote!

Poison oak is here!! It is strongly recommended that do not touch any vegetation on the Nature Trail at any time of the year! Poison oak can be a bush under the sun, or a vine in the shade. It generally has three leaves together with some red coloration! Look up images of poison oak on your phone! Save yourself some pain!

At the Visitors Center, (The Visitors center and public restroom are closed during the corona virus Sorry!) across the street, which has programs and exhibits, they keep track of wildlife sightings. There are picnic tables with a view of the lake next to the Visitors Center! Check in and tell them what you saw. They list what others have seen on the board! There are beavers, Osprey and once I saw a Deer and fawn. They ran right by me being more afraid of what might be chasing them then they were of me and my daughter! Ten years ago a Cougar was spotted in the early morning hours and it was eliminated by the early hours of the afternoon by the Park Service. Walk with a friend. Not just a friend but a friend with a big stick!

There are many Birds here! As you reach the end of the lake, turn left back toward Pier Avenue and then take the blacktop road, to the right, past the camp ground and public restrooms. Take the first right on the blacktop road and it will turn into sand as you walk through the dunes. The Beach will open up before you!!! You can find sand dollars on the beach and in the water. You can teach your children to catch sand crabs here! Walk to the left back to Pier Avenue. There is a public restroom and a candy store where you can get a free salt water taffy sample. Walk up Pier Avenue to our complex. Its about 2.3 miles around and you can go either direction! Overall it is a very nice Nature Walk!!!

Alternate Route (Shortest Walk) Walk across the street through the parking lot and merge left! Follow the road as it turns into sand, through the sand dunes, and to the beach!

Alternate Route (Medium) Walk across the street, Find the trail next to the Lake, on the right of the Visitors Center. Turn left at the road. Follow the road right as it turns into sand, through the sand dunes, and to the Beach!

Weekend of Oct 7
It wasn’t bad, I would stay again. Initially I was irritated to find my room had been double booked. Dave was good about making sure we had another comparable room. I think his responsiveness is what saved it for me. He was good about getting back to me about my concerns. The room was fine- comfortable. Most of our time was sight seeing and visiting our son at Cal Poly, so we weren’t there a lot. Once everything got worked out though I thought it was good. Things happen I get it.
