This is a very unique hotel. So fun to explore all the very colorful areas - the rainforest with three pools, monkeys and macaws. The open air restaurant was staffed by the most congenial people. Joshua in the front office went above and beyond to assist us when our rental car wouldn’t start - our Spanish isn’t that good and without him we may not have been able to communicate to Avis what our problem was. Our room was very nice, up high with amazing beach and ocean views.

The beach was beautiful, nice little surf. Quite after 10pm. If you want snacks go shopping before you arrive. The store has nothing. This is a place to unwind no stores or restaurants except the hotel restaurant.

Nice cozy hotel, close to airport. Perfect for long layover, Great value for the buck. Only con was the food. Fried food options didn't appear to be the freshest. Nor did it come out sizzling hot. Other than that awesome experience and very much worth visiting again.

This property was nice loveeee the ocean view love the nature on the property the birds are beautiful they keep pools clean and the plants watered. The lady that helped me reserve this was extremely helpful she went above and beyond. Check out was 4am which was mad wild and they put us outside and close the lobby, and the lady walked away. We are tourists and that was very distasteful and inconsiderate also they do not have wash rags or a microwave to heat up food if you buy elsewhere. But the people are nice for the most part and respectful

Property was quiirky plus amazing and very clean. They were constantly cleaning pool areas, seats, walkways, etc. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I cant imagine having a better experience with staff. Area outside of hotel is rustic, to say the least. Which we enjoyed greatly. Some restaurants are located at the end of street and along the way to hotel. Be prepared for chickens and dogs running around the restaurants (off hotel Property) but the food was amazing 👏 A great experience overall! The two "negatives" some peoppe might not like are the lack of hot water for showers (i think they only heat up water by sun in black water tanks) plus the toilets don't flush well (common in areas and countries like this.)We got use to the shower water temp and it even felt great after lots of time in the hot sun. The toilet barely flushing was always a concern but we made it work.

Hotel Estero y Mar was a great place to stay at. The property itself is stunning. Beautiful scenery and pool areas. Love the foliage around the property and the light set up for when the sun sets. Beautiful beach area to eat, swim and watch the sunset. Perfect for families and couples. Would recommend a maximum of 2 nights though. There is nothing around to do other than lounge on their property and you have to buy their food and drinks. No turn down service during your stay either, so you need to reuse your towels and no coffee pod refills. Wish their store sold or rented boogie boards.

Not worth the money

BEWARE not close to the airport at all. Reception was closed at arrival and had to wait long to get keys to our room. Reception said no connection for Uber and their driver charged $40.00 back to the airport, we realized uber app works perfect but by the time the Uber arrived was almost 30 mins, and we had to use their service to avoid being late to the airport. Uber would have charged under $15.00 bad customer service.

We were greets warmly and immediately given an upgraded room, probably because it was a week day. Great menu options. Everything we had was delicious. There a 4 pools. Beautiful jungle style atmosphere with monkeys and even a parrot. Overall, great stay!
