I have never been to a hotel with staff this wonderful. The views are idealic. The restaurant on site was excellent and a good value. We felt at home very quickly. The hotel only has 10 total rooms. We were able to chop it up and meet other guests. A+. Staff always cheerful and helpful! I only have one complaint that is the same at every other hotel I have stayed at around Lake Atitlan. That complaint is the dogs! They are barking all night and here is a disco which can get rather loud. The hotel actually has ear plugs laid out for guests when they checkin.

I absolutely loved the hotel and property. The area of San Marcos wasn’t for me personally but I enjoyed the amenities of the hotel and the staff were always amazing and so sweet. The views are also … breathtaking

I stayed at this property to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday, and it exceeded every expectation. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our special occasion even more memorable. The property itself is even more stunning in person the views of the lake were absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in the Dome, and instantly fell in love with its unique charm and the incredible outdoor bathroom. The food was just as amazing as the scenery fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. This is truly a place where every detail feels special. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable getaway.

The room it's self was beautiful and the view from bed was world class! The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious with a nice closet space and a huge bathroom. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the view. Walking from the dock to the hotel was more confusing than I would have thought. Probably just paying the little kids at the dock to carry our luggage and show us the way would have saved us a grumpy moment of getting lost while carrying heavy backpacks. Lots of wonderful restaurants are very walkable. The hotel restaurant was sadly closed while we were there but the menu looks amazing.

Kula Maya was very nice, clean and had a good selection of foods. The pool area is much smaller than it looks in the pictures and it only has 4 lounge chairs. The room was cleaned very nicely and the location is very close to the dock. Transportation set up by the hotel was pricey.
