The price was low and the complex served a light breakfast in the morning. The pool is nice and the staff is polite to spanish speakers. The sheets were and shower heads were dirty. Nevertheless, it is a convenient 5 minute uber to El Tunco. Im glad I amended my plans an only stayed there for 2 days instead of three...(still got charged for 3).

Stayed at Reef on the Water for one night. Very pleasant, could walk to the main beach except during high tide. Rooms were small, but the bed was comfortable, the AC was efficient and quiet. Only unexpected item, no hot water. The food was good and reasonably priced and the included breakfast was ok

BEWARE! This place is more like a hostel than a hotel. The pictures are misleading. The service was poor no one was happy to be there, or seemed to want to service you at all. No hot water, very loud you hear everything everywhere. Music on blast at the bar/pool by 8am. breakfast was horrible. We stayed at several places. This was our last stop, which was unfortunate because everywhere else and El Salvador itself was amazing so much so we will be back next year. The Reef could be so much more if someone actual cared about it.

This Hotel is in a perfect area, close to el Tunco and other resort/restaurants, and the prices are inexpensive.

rooms did not look how the pictures did air conditioning was dripping water all night and soaked the whole floor did not get fixed staff just came to clean it up. water gets shut off every night at 8 and no hot water very inconvenient. road to get to the hotel was horrible no ubers could leave us at the front gate too rocky and bumpy for ubers to pull in

Terrible experience

This hotel was a terrible choice. The staff was rude, and the restaurant was so-so. We got a much worse room than we thought we booked. The room had no view and looked more like a cell with one tiny window high up on the wall, not a hotel room. Even though we paid for additional guests (two adults and two children, so 40$ extra per child), the extra beds were not made. When we asked for them to be made, the staff handed us the sheets and we had to do it ourselves. We also had to ask for extra towels, the bathroom mat was also missing. The staff was rude and non-responsive to requests and questions. The so called private beach are large rocks in the water and one cannot enter the water, so one can only watch the waves. There is no shade whatsoever that is adequate so there is nowhere to rest or relax during the day. The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the view (if one is lucky to stay in a room with a view). For us, it was a thoroughly unpleasant stay. We were made unwelcome and undesired guests. When we tried to discuss this with the staff, they were rude and unresponsive. When we complained, the manager hung up on us in response

El hotel es pequeño, la ubicación es buena, áreas comunes son lindas con hermosa vista. Las habitaciones son muy básicas, camas, tv, baño y listo. El baño es muy pequeño. El desayuno incluído es muy simple y no tienen opciones para enriquecerlo ni con pago. A mi llegada no estaba lista mi habitación para esa noche y me dieron otra muy pequeña y con una sola cama matrimonial, aunque eramos 2 adultos y un niño
