Great stay at Casa rural mailan

Wonderful stay at Casa rural Mailan. The room was spacious and clean. Esti greeted us upon arrival and was so warm and welcoming and gave us some tips for restaurants in the area. The station is a stones throw from the casa and it was very simple to get to San Sebastian. Perfect location. Would happily stay again . G

Orio was a convenient location and only a half an hour train ride to San Sebastián but the city isn’t that much to see

518 / 5.000 We stayed one night at the Mailan rural house in Orio, but it was enough to appreciate the care and affection with which Estíbaliz treats her guests. We had a super spacious and bright room on the second floor. The house has that vintage feel, with beautiful classic furniture and wooden floors that you don't find anywhere else. All of this is set in a beautiful garden. If you enjoy breakfast in the living room off the kitchen while admiring it, it's a great way to start the day. Highly recommended.

This place is wonderful, the staff could not be nicer, the place is beautiful and the area is great. From there we went to San Sebastian, about a 45 min drive and Bilbao, about 20 min drive. We loved our stay!

Nice location in the pretty town of Orio 25 minutes drive from San Sebastian if you have a car. But also only a 5 minute walk from the train station for an easy 25 minute train ride into San Sebastian. Room and bathroom were very clean with TV in each room. Decor had a quaint, classical, charming look to it. Owners are very responsive and very helpful with prompt answers to all my questions. All doors have electronic security codes, so it is very easy to deal with and no hassle with keys. The host and the cook are warm and friendly and cook an ample breakfast every morning which is popular with guests. I was a solo traveler but hope to come back here and stay with my family just because of friendliness of the hosts and the extremely convenient location.

A great stop over

The place was amazing, extremely comfortable, Anna and Wendy were are great help because my Spanish was very poor. We walked into town both nights for dinner and caught the train into SAN Sebastion for the day. Highly recommend this place

Delightful Stay in Orio

Lovely guest house for a stopover

We had a beautifully furnished, very comfortable room and were made very welcome. Easy walk to the centre of this nice little town set on the river. Great place for a stopover en route through France and Spain, in the heart of Basque country. Rather difficult to find as the address doesn’t register on satnav or google maps. It is actually in the town of Orio, not the village of Aya which the address indicates - Aya being also the region.

Quaint little place in a quite town. Very much a rustic place that offered a really nice room and really good bathroom. Really good value for money.

The place is nice, but it really is very far from San Sebastian even if you have a car.
