Did not like the fact nothing worked. Light on left side of bed did not work. Outlet there did not work either. No TV. Clock did not work. AC unit didn't work. Microwave did not work. Large bug was found on my pillow.

The employee at breakfast restaurant was frowning very much and slamming the door with a loud noise like sending a signal to get off immediately to all the guests there. For checking out, stop by the office. There was the guy who just pointed a box for my request for checking out. The worst of worst experiences. Expedia should consider this accommodation out at once on their recommendation list unless it wants to lose its customers.

Dirty and run down

Dirty, dirty, dirty, and unkempt. I'm so surprised that a choice hotel was this bad. I've never had a bad stay at a comfort in before but his was just gross. Smelled of marijuana even though it's non smoking. Dirty walls, floors(my fresh socks got dirty immediately!, soap holder had buildup, chairs were ripped. Microwave was dirty and fridge smelled deadly. The tv wasn't working. After 3 calls to the front with no answer, someone finally called back. They brought a new remote that still didn't work. The guy moved the shelf and tinkered with the tv. Finally it worked. Saving grace was a clean bed and location. The breakfast area was also messy and I didn't see staff cleaning up. Egg circles and sausage patty, cereal, toast, fruit, make your own waffle. Milk smelled funny. We passed on this breakfast because it honestly didn't look appetizing. I still won't stay here again. For the price, this hotel is laughably lackluster. I have a bunch of pictures but for some reason it's not uploading.

Comfy bed with a patio

Easy check in, bed was comfy and the sheets were incredibly soft. Plenty of pillows for a solo traveler and included breakfast. I'd stay again for sure. Patio was a nice touch.

This was a great place to stop for a night on our road trip. It has spacious rooms with a comfortable bed, good pillows, a kitchen, microwave, and fridge. They provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, and a hair dryer. Their breakfast ends at 10am and included waffles, bread, jam, cream cheese, apples, cereal, yogurt, and coffee. There were stains on the towels and sheets, everything seemed clean, I just recommend using bleach to get all the stains out. Also, vacuum the carpets in the hotel hallways.

The hotel could use some minor patching up. The bathroom had paint curling from the ceiling. Need more USB charging stations. The bathroom door didn't close very well. Wasn't a 5 star hotel but it wasn't worst. I would stay again, but I would bring my slippers. Breakfast was good too.

This motel is a great location for exploring the area. Not crowded at all - San Simeon is very different from other small beach towns. Just motels, a few restaurants and one liquor store. The registration was super quick and easy, staff was efficient. When we drove into parking lot, my “dirt alert” went up. People has thrown out cups, food, bags and old sodas, etc onto lot. Got out of car and entrance had spilled sodas, nasty towel by ice machine. Almost turned around to go somewhere else. But went to room and was SO surprised! It was spotless, bright and well furnished. The beds were very comfortable, TV worked without a glitch, small microwave and refrigerator ( although it was too cold - couldn’t really find right temp). Small little patio with 2 clean chairs. Bathroom clean and shower was fine with products present. Had a nice little breakfast room with an all right breakfast. All in all, I’d stay there again, but would certainly like it if they would clean up entryway and parking lot.
