After 9 hours of car travel and arriving just 15 minutes before check in, it was disappointing to find nobody at the front desk. The room had no a/c and opening the window for air granted any passer by a direct view into the room. I actually left and got a room at the Comfort Inn close by.

I stayed at this property many years before this recent stay. The property has not been well maintained or upgraded. THE POOL IS CLOSED. The most helpful person was a housekeeper (hispanic) that said she had worked there over 20 years!

The beach was very close, could walk across the highway to get there. Not many restaurants around, the ones that were are a bit pricey. Staff was friendly. I was charged more than what was quoted for the pet fee, which kind of disappointed me. Overall, I would probably not choose to stay in San Simeon again because it's a very small town, would more than likely stay in Cambria or a little further down in San Luis Obispo.
