The room was great, the staff was delightedly helpful and breakfast was good. The only thing that I think could be improved is the landscaping and the look of it from the front. We were a little concerned when we drove up because it looks rather rundown and unkempt. Once we stepped inside, we were pleasantly surprised at how helpful the gentleman at the desk was and how lovely our room was.

It was clean and comfortable. The mattress could have been a little firmer. Enjoyed the "historical vibe" about the place. The breakfast was very nice, everything looked clean. in the area. We certainly would go again. The location is perfect for visiting the Hearst Castle. I liked that there was no noisy air conditioner. Loved having the window open and getting fresh air.
